and it felt soooo naughty!

was meant to have a chicken stirfry with shirataki noodles and veg for tea but haven't had the time to prepare the veg before I pick my DD from rainbows. So then it hit me - i've not had my starchy meal this week so just looked in the cupboard and found a bachelors pasta n sauce (cheese ham and leek).

It was yummy - but now I am STUFFED!! lol! x:)

Sound delicious - but, ahem - the starchy meal is supposed to wholegrain rice or pasta, so you gradually increase the carbs without triggering cravings.

Just watch out for cravings later - make sure you have some non-carb snacks to stave them off.

I know, it was a total one-off.
I'm usually so organised and have my meals already cooked and tupperware'd up waiting for me in the fridge - but unfortunately stirfries don't reheat well :-(

Ideally i would have made WM pasta with an arrabiata sauce, but I was on the minutes and fearful of getting so hungry that I'd eat something totally 'off-Dukan'.

I know - life's too busy to fit all the new stuff in in conso; I didn't get organised enough for the starchy meal for the first month!

(And when I did I hated it - It just tasted bland and glue-y after all those months of Dukan. When I started I imagined pizza would be my very first gala - and not only did I not fancy it when the time came, I haven't had one since. Or fish and chips... strange.)

Just had my first apple (a crunchy gala) in 5 months... I can't even begin to describe how lovely it was.

I really took my time eating it, savoured every mouthful.. ((drool))

I didnt really enjoy my first bit of fruit (strange, for someone who previously loved fruit daily) but on the other hand, the first pizza.....mega.! (But too much!)

Today I had some Victoria sponge but felt a bit queasy - too rich. Need to remember food can be a bit full on for Dukan tums and just take it slowly. Nice tho! :)

Mmmmm......CAKE!

Yummmmm

I love food PORN threads ;)

That made me LOL maintainer

Well Atropos, thought I'd got away with it, as no cravings later on yesterday after the white pasta....

but....

Oh

My

Gosh:eek::eek:

I have been ravenous all day today! Thankfully kept on Dukan friendly foods but could've really fell off the wagon with DH and DD choccy biccies..

I have learned my lesson:(

Oh - well done for resisting temptation.

Yes, I remember, it's such a shock when craving returns! I finally realise that all those times I thought I was starving and desperate for a snack I was just in the midst of carb fueled munchies... and of course the biscuit/rice cake/banana I reached for (thinking those were the healthy low fat options!) just made it worse.

i agree!

(she says whilst munching on a digestive)..oh dear :17729:

Quick - find some protein to snack on! (It's the only way to kill the craving for mooooooore caaaaaarrrrbs in my experience

I agree! (once again! Lol!)

Thank goodness for the chicken I roasted this afternoon that was sat waiting for me in the fridge.

Poor thing's in there minus a leg and thigh now... ;-)
