just made a big fruit salad how do i keep it fresh?

    basically just bunged loads of fruit in a bowl but i want to save the rest for breakfast tomorrow morning?

    Help.

    If you put it in a tupperware container, and add some lemon juice or lime juice or orange slices or pineapple chunks (something acidic to stop the fruit going brown) then it should be ok until tomorrow in the fridge :)

    I amsure that soemone once told me to add some low cal lemonade to a fruit salad as it preserves it and gives it a bit of a zing!

    Stivesliz - I wouldn't be surprised if that was a good way of stopping it from going brown, as the acid in the lemonade would keep it looking fresh. I might try that myself next time! :) xx

    You could tip a couple of full jars of Nutella into a saucepan and heat it a little to make it runny, then tip that all over the fruit.

    I'm not helping am I? ;)

    Just put it in an airtight container, or cover tightly with cling film, put it in the fridge, and it will be fine until tomorrow. If you have put banana in it, it might go a bit slimy, but it will still be safe to eat.

    I never put anything on a fruit salad - no liquid or juice (other than what comes out of the fruit) or yogurt - until just before eating it, otherwise it could go soggy. Personally I wouldn't put lemonade on it because it would spoil the taste of the fruit, but that's a matter of personal preference.
