Hello, I have just managed my first day of ss after a couple of hiccupy days-and I just had to come on here to cheer!! I have a looooong cd journey ahead of me, but I have restated this with a new mindset, so I certainly feel much more positive. My new attitude is simply: one day at a time.
Hope all you restaters have had a good day, I will be back!! x

Thankyou all so much! It is so great to have support here-I haven't mentioned being on the diet to anyone-not yet, at least-I want to feel in control of it before telling people. I got through today-just!! I had a very very wobbly moment at lunchtime...but got through it by telling myself I could eat in an hour if I really wanted to...and I did that for 5 hours (!!!)until the feeling passed. Is ketosis going to make the physical hunger go away? I know this will be mind over matter-but the physical hunger was awful!!
Hope everyone is doing ok. x

Hi Sarah, good luck with the restart.
I'm on day 3 this week and it is going ok so far. I've been struggling to SS for about 9 weeks now, and have only managed 6 days in a row once during the whole period. I've only just found this forum, so I'm hoping that it will give me the willpower to make it to day 7 and beyond!

    Day 3...

Day three done and dusted!! Not sure if I have hit the big K yet, but I am feeling better today-no awful food battles like yesterday, thank goodness-I literally had my head in the fridge at one point trying to figure out what I might like...before realising the main thing I want is to be thinner, healthier and happier!! Yay all of us restarters-we can do it!! Good luck everone, can't wait to be inspired by all your success!! x

    Hi day dream believer,

I am on a restart of a restart etc......... I was previously on LT but couldn't get past day 2 on countless attempts. I have moved onto CD and have just completed day 4. It is still very hard but it is gatting a bit easier. I'm hoping that after a week or so I won't even think about food. I tested my wee this morning and I had traces of ketones so I am hoping I will be a bit further down the scale in a few days.
Do you have any ketosticks to be able to check your levels?

Yay Jasmine and Deltamike!! We can do it!! I am still thinking in a one day at a time way, and may have to for this whole CD journey, but hey, whatever gets us through! Today I was freezing and not at all interested in eating-even had to force myself to have my shakes...so I don't think I need the k stick thingys! How much water are you guys drinking? The CD box says 2 and 1/4 litres; Lighter Life say 4... so I have been drinking 3 plus-is this enough? x

    Hi ddb,

I think the people who have the best success are those who drink plenty. I am a student nurse and lots of my colleagues who I am on placement with have been trying to worry me into coming off the CD programme saying that it can't be good for me and that it is dangerous to drink so much water. I have looked into it and a few people who have been in the news who had died from complications of drinking too much water had in excess of 12 pints a day. One woman was in a competition to hold your wee for a wii and had 3 litres over 2 hours and didn't go the loo. But please don't let this worry you as we are not getting any water from food like these people would have had on top of anything they would be drinking. I personnally try and have about 4 to 5 litres a day and so far since monday I have lost 15lb!!!!!!! I don't get weighed 'til monday night and I can't wait to hop on the scales well over a stone lighter - WHOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!
So, my advice would be to drink, drink, drink!!!:D

Thanks Yasmine-Samara, I am def drinking more than 3 litres a day-but I have 3 as a minimum-if that makes any sense?!? Am on day 6...Sunday...a bit harder today, I guess a quieter day without the routine of work will always be a bit challenging. Hope everyone is doing well? x
