Just started running...any advice

Hello everyone,
I've just started road running again and I must admit that it has been over 2 years since I last ran! :wave_cry:

I suffered from a cruciate ligament sprain in February and am at the point where my range of movement is almost back to normal and pain/swelling minimal.

I brought a good pair of running shoes (asics) and a pair of cushioned insoles.
I've run twice since Sat (around 20 mins each time), but has anyone any tips?

I must admit that my legs are now very stiff (and I usually cycle for 40mins per day on a recumbant bike), but in a good way!!!

Thanks!

When you say tips, I guess you mean in terms of not injuring your cruciate again??

Usually with straight line activities such as running your knee ligaments should be okay. You tend to get problems with more of the sports that involve twisting and turning sports.

Good shock absorption is crucial for your knees but you're covering that with good running shoes and insoles.

I can't emphasise enough the need for proper stretching, but if you've been a runner before then you'll probably know that anyway :D
