Hi to all the CDer's

I am looking into starting the Cambridge Diet but was wondering if someone could tell me a little about it......

How much weight can I expect in the first couple of weeks???
Is is total food replacement do I have to just have shakes for the duration of the diet???

Have they improved at all?? I did it about 2 years ago and I remember them all being very watery???

please help and thankyou for all who reply.....

That rather depends on how much you have to lose and how well you stick to it! Anything from around nine to fourteen pounds is about average.

No, there's a plan where you can have a small protein and veg meal every day plus three shakes called SS+. The weekly losses are actually very similar to doing all shakes. There are other food plans as well.

Honestly? They haven't changed much although there have been a couple of new flavours. :) You could always make the shakes with less water though, or stick to porridge, tetras and bars.

please help and thankyou for all who reply.....

Hope that helps a bit.

Hi hun... Well done on making the first step to joining/rejoining... this is my 1st time on CD and I LOVE IT!!!

There are 6 different stages.. im on step 1 and this is complete food replacement... i chose this myself.. my friend has just started and she has IBS/exercises 2-3 times a week and is starting on step 3... 3 meals and 2 cd products.. this is maybe worth having a chat with your local CDC about.. I think depending on which step you start on u have to be on it for a minimum of 1 week and maximum 12.. then change but when u change u need to do the new step for 1 week before changing again.. on step 1 you can occassionally have a couple of boiled eggs or chicken just to curb any hunger pangs... but dont make it regular i think...

I love the shakes. tried porridge and hated it but hate it in general.. tried soup n had too many in 1 week and made me ill... again this maybe a trial and error situ till u find ones u do like.. mint choc with hot water is my fave im on 2 of them a day lol... yes im addicted..

as for the weight losses.. my 1st week i lost 11lb.. my friend as mentioned above only lost 4lb... so deoes vary depending on what step ur on and each persons body is different...

BUT i can say that I love this diet after doing ww and sw this is by far the easiest and most successful and the support on here is AMAZING!!!

Good Luck
