Katycakes Won't Give Up...

DAY 45

(oops... edited to say, scales 12st 2)

Thanks Chels, Shanny, Emmaline & Lelly.

Yesterday was much better, not perfect - four rather than three packs and an 810 meal, but felt fine and so glad to be settling back into CD and not crashing about like a mad thing looking for anything I could to derail myself. Little steps. Had a good walk too and that helped, and did most if not all of my planned work.

Taking OH to station soon, he is away for a long weekend to see his mum, so just DD & me here, both hoping to get lots of work done and then curl up with DVDs in the evenings. On way back from station will stock up with some 810 stuff like cottage cheese & red-top milk and some bits for DD.

Next Tues I am working away for two days down south so hoping to be settled and in a safer zone by then.

One porridge eaten, mood hopeful.

Wishing everyone a fab day.

That's great Katy, really pleased that you are in a calmer place today. It must be so hard having all that temptation around you, when shopping for a family. I'm lucky in that respect. The only thing I have in my kitchen cupboards at the moment is my box of CD packs.

Have a good day honey xx

Hi KC,

It sounds like a nice relaxing weekend with just the two girls.

Is your DD on break next week? Mine started her half-term break today. She and her older brother just left to take the little dog for a short walk. They'll take her for a longer one later one.

Maybe you and DD can have a nice walk with your Dog, too.

I hope that you have a good day.

MM

Glad things have settled down Katy. Have a great weekend.xx

Thanks Chels, Mel & Bess.

OH dropped at station, shop done - including 3x lots of cakes for mum - where did I get that sweet tooth from I wonder?!! I buy her tons of good stuff like fish pies and cottage pie and chicken (she doesn't really cook & isn't veggie) but always she wants more cake & rice pudding. I guess that's why she tries so hard to force it on me, she must be totally sugar addicted, but luckily her taste is for Mr Kipling type stuff that isn't tempting for me.

Had to walk past the 2 for £1 yummy biccies again but did not falter. Got cottage cheese & skim milk and quorn, with some pasta & noodles for DD & a pizza for a treat. Out again later to drop supplies off to mum and get petrol & coal, there is a real bite in the air as if it might snow.

Had my 2nd pack at 1-ish which is great, hope to last out to 5 for my 810 meal, then have a bar for an evening treat. If I can get that routine going I would be very happy!

@ Mel, DD is off for 3 days for half term from monday, but up to her eyes in work. I know the feeling!

Hope everyone is doing OK today!

Well done Katy, I am very impressed with all of that. You are definitely back up and holding the reins again, which is sooooo good.

A coal fire, how lovely (despite the cleaning of it) central heating doesn't quite cut it does it. Never mind you trying to fit into my trunk, I think I would fit in nicely on your comfy sofa, as long as I could have one of your animals on my lap :D So miss my cats

Keep going. Proud of you xx

Awww. You can come and curl up on the sofas anytime, they are in room with double glazing & central heating and TV, very toasty. I work in teeny back room with the log burning stove, the radiator in here doesn't work so well in here & often have heating off thru day unless it's Baltic. A shovel of coal when you're lighting it helps it to stay in better and settle better somehow, but use logs to feed it thru the day. Smells great. Next month or April I will be moving up to office shed to work (I'd freeze solid in there right now) so no more daytime nipping in and out of minis for a chat! Humph. Might get more work done though!

As for cats, you can have them - one especially is very grumpy and greedy and believes she should be fed 97 times a day, as well as dining out on 'take-aways'.

Back to work then...

It all sounds so lovely and cosy. I love the smell of a real fire and a cat on my lap......even a fat grumpy one, would be cool.

I bet your office in the garden is wonderful in the Spring/summer when it is warmer. Sounds positively idyllic

xx

I just can't imagine it getting warmer, ever. I have been cold ever since I first did CD, never warmed up since. Brrrrr!!
Sorry you have snow forecast again Katy, I look at your area now and the south for the others when I see a forecast, Wales' too in God's own country.
I heard yesterday that you may be able to see the Northern lights in Scotland soon due to a sun flare (or something similar) wouldn't that be fantastic?

OH told me this yesterday... would be fab! I have seen it once, about 20 years back, driving home from a party in middle of night in clapped out mini van of the lovely pal who recently had a heart op... we pulled over and stood in a field and stared and sighed and wondered if it was really real. And it was... what a world!

Lucky you! Have a good weekend. xx

DAY 46

Scales say 12st. YESSSS!!! Back to where I was last Monday morning... phew. Not sure I deserve to be, but very glad. Just realised I missed my thursday unofficial stats update, so will do that now, only 1lb so not much I know but a promise to myself I am not going backwards any more... and that I don't plan to be 12st anything again, ever, once the scales dip down to the elusive 11s. I have said that before, but this time I have to believe it.

Snow here! Freezing, and plenty lying on ground, but snow has turned to sleet now so I don't think it will stay around for too long. Plan to get out for dog walk and drink my 4/5 pints of herb tea, hoping to keep the fat burning going. DD has an invite from one of her uni offer places, her fave one, for early march which means I will miss my first yoga class & next CDC app as it's far away and will need to take her down. Want her to have a good look around the city as well as the uni as it may be where she ends up living, so we may stay overnight. Must re-schedule CDC.

Am away overnight Tuesday next week also, a flying visit down to London for work.

Hope everyone has a fab weekend, plan to stay warm and work for most of it!

Great news Katy, yes you absolutely deserve all the credit for that hun!! You tripped, dusted yourself off and kept on trudging through regardless! it's a great achievement, praise yourself lots for it. Also great news for your DD too, hope you have a fab trip together xx

Katy brilliant you are back in the zone! Don't look back now! I'm so pleased for you, as I totally get what you've been through and going through when it comes to food, emotion and stress. It's so hard to get one's head back into the zone but your there now and not alone!

Yay Katy, so pleased for you hun. I sign up to your sentiments - I am now in the 13s, and I will never be in the 14s again. When I get into the 12s it will be bye bye 13s.

Enjoy your dog walk, and I will enjoy mine (as wet and muddy as you know they will be!!) x

Back down to 12st! That's fab, 11's here you come! Keep warm both of you and enjoy snuggling on the sofa watching those DVD's! xx

Thanks all.

@ Bess, lol, we are both in the little study room with log fire roaring, DD in her coat and me in a scarf! It is starting to get warm though. And both of us typing away. Actually, DD has just sneaked off & is now playing piano in her room... bliss. Very envious of her, but suspect she is just warming up her frozen fingers! No DVDs till 8 at least... watched Notting Hill last night. Awww.
