Kellmo's Atkins attempt

Hey! Thanks for asking, I've been so busy with uni work I'm reading but not commenting on diaries.

Another brill day with day 2 of the shred done and all legal foods still with very low carbs - not having anywhere near my allowance of veg, it just doesn't work for me. Although, I'm doing a roast today and I am going to have a fair bit.

But I feel better - the exercise is making me happy!!
 
Yesterday went well

Day 2 of the shred

B - 2 egg omelette with cheese and 1 large mushroom

L - ham spread with pesto cream cheese

T - roast chicken, broccoli, cauli and gravy (made with juices, stock and water)

Dessert - my family had cake and custard so I had 150g raspberries.
Snacks - 2 chilli cabanosi sausages.

Carbs were at 22g for the day but I'm ok with that - usually at 11/12 when I'm on track.... More of the same planned today :)
 
I got a personalised card and boots gift voucher through the post today from slim and save. I was one of the weight loss finalists in a recent conpetition!

I'm made up- made me feel really proud!

So today I've started well with bacon, eggs, 1 mushroom and I've made my first sweet mim. Added cream cheese and it was delicious!
Feeling very full up now!

Will do shred later and update food too!

It's got pride of place on my kitchen dresser!

Today has been another positive day.

Breakfast - bacon and egg with 1 large mushroom

Snack - sweet mim (amazing!) with bit of cream cheese!

Lunch - tuna, mayo, 5 silver skin onions, lettuce and chili sausage - oh, with cheese!

Tea - chicken breast stuffed with garlic cream cheese and wrapped in prosciutto - possibly with some spinach or courgette.

Exercise - 1 hour walk
Day 3 of 30 day shred. SO glad I did it even though it was at 6pm.

Feel GREAT! And I have taken measurements of waist, hips so the scales don't have their usual hold over me!!

It was a quick update as I was in a rush. Yes I've measured my lumpiest bits!

I did days 1-3, rest and 4 this morning (early before work is the best time for me - sets me up for the rest of the day!)

Food has been good although been on a course yesterday and today and have had some of that cheese with cranberries in (my god that's amazing!)

I helped myself to buffet of seafood (teeny bit of seafood sauce) and salad (little bit) and 4 crab sticks. If I'm over carbs I'm over but I did take mim today and cream cheese and chicken breast yesterday.

Feeling upbeat and positive. Still not been on the scales!

Yeeee hahhh!!!

Feel great! Day 5 shred done! Body changing already and clothes feeling nicer!

Eating atkins food but adapted to me, less veg when I don't need or want it. Tesco do these sticks of cheese with pepperoni wrapped around - 4 for £1 and for all 4 sticks there was 1.6g carbs!

I nearly cheated last night (cake in the kitchen) but my friends helped me through, I resisted and I am so glad I did. Cake has now been eaten by colleagues!!
 
Check you passing up the cake! I have no willpower and had a cherry macaroon, doh!

Ace that you are noticing a difference in your clothes! My thighs feel tighter but bigger :-( no fair! x

well done for passing up the cake :) as for veg don't ever worry about not eating enough, I do honestly believe that some people do not need as much and usually if we listen our bodies it will tell us when we need it. I stopped beating myself up over it because some days I just want to eat like you, cheese and meats snacks.

I know the sticks you mean and they are delish!
 
Thanks Goldi! This is just like Dukan for me but with the (essential I now realise, fat!) I don't know how I survived so long on that diet. I do sometimes really want some spinach, courgette or tomatoes and so i will have them but the 75% ish of carbs from veg just doesn't work so well for me. I nipped to tesco for my lunch and I thought I'd try on a skirt I liked. It's a little bit short to wear with bare legs or even nude tights BUT it was a size 12 and was gaping a bit on the waist! I think I might try a 10 tomorrow and see how that feels. Felt really good today and got lots of compliments - all these things motivate me! Eating crap and feeling low just send me into a vicious circle. Thanks for all your replies and support. - means a lot! Here's the skirt.... and my pins!
