Lighterlife begins on Monday uh oh!

    Hi folks I start Lighterlife on Monday and I was looking around on line for some support and I have read all the previous threads and it is very inspirational the support and the massive weight loss that seems to be happening :D so i thought this would be a good place to start!!!...
    Well I will introduce myself just so you know who i am..My name is Jodie im 21 and from bonny Scotland and I feel Lighterlife is my last resort all I have heard is good things about it regarding the weight loss etc...So hopefully it will work for me...
    Really nervous for tomo night as it is my first day to be honest im nervous about the whole week cutting out food for a whole 100 days maybe more...well it will be more in my case!! but you gotta do what you gotta do! positive thinking!

    Well theres my intro hopefully I will be able to inspire ppl with my weight loss just like you lot have done with me im amazed.

    Hi Jodie, Welcome to Minimins . Your right it is a great place for support, encouragement and advice. When ever I get a bit down I have a read of some of the great inspirational threads on here. Failing that - when the hand really is reaching for the fridge I head to the Arcade to keep myself busy.
    The first two days are likely to be your worst physically - so hang in there and it does get better - promise.
    Try not to carbo load tonight as that will make the shock to your system even worse.

    Thanks for your reply hmmmm about carbo load I have just demolished a box of pringles as i thought i will get them out of the way :cry: tut at me! I think the first two days are going to be a nightmare for me i am soooo worried I have been hearing some awful stories about ppl on it and being terribly ill for the first week!!!!

    Hi,,,I am going to Broughty Ferry the lady is really nice well so far only met her twice...It is quite bad at the moment I have given my fiance a key to the kitchen and put alock on the kitchen door :eek: so no more cheating for me!!!!!!! :D
    Do you have any advice on the sort of things i should eat tomo during the day to the run up to my first class?

    Good luck with your Lighterlife journey. I'm six weeks in and although it was very daunting to imagine not eating normal food for even a week, it was actually much easier than I thought. Plus paying £66 per week somewhat concentrates the mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too expensive to cheat! My only advice would be to avoid being around food wherever possible for the first week. That takes temptation out of the way, and once the ketosis kicks in and the weight starts to fall off, you just want to keep on going!

    Think Atkins Jodie......meat, veg....stay away from the carbs!! lol.

    Drink loads of water...need to get it up to 4 litres a day.

    Don't worry too much. Just stock up on pain killers etc, the first week is always the worst. You'll be grand!!

    Hi Jodie, well done for joining, you'll be so glad you did, the weight will soon start falling off you.

    Keep drinking all the water and at the first sign of a headache or anything in the first couple of days have a paracetamol or something.

    just popping by to wish you all the luck in the world on your lighterlife journey :p

    As Coley says, try and stay away from the carbs tomorrow, it will help you get into ketosis easier, and hopefuly you won't suffer with the headaches...

    Thanks to all for the lovely notes of encouragement!!!! Think I will stick to my salad tomo for lunch sounds safer that way with all the talks of headaches etc....!!!!!

    Staying away from food hmmm will be a bit difficult as I do the lunch orders for everyone at work I can see that job being passed onto someone else.:p

    yes I think you should pass the lunch orders over to someone else - you're not going to be eating it so you shouldn't have to go get it.

    Are you going seeing your counsellor tomorrow and starting LL on Tues?

    Hi went to see counsellor last week first Lighterlife Meeting is tomo....medical and all that sort of stuff was handed in on Wenesday of last week......
