Just made the most simple yet lush soup, it was one tablespoon olive oil, fry up one - onion, 2 cloves garlic, then add one carrot and leek, 3 knorr stock cubes chicken flavour, about two cups of chopped cabbage, then I had some leftover chicken (150g), chuck that in, add 100g pearl barley, about 1&1/2 litres of water, bubble up for 45-60 mins, and YUM!! Only 123cals!! I had some toast with it for some extra cals, truly yummy and it made six big hearty bowls!!
 
Oooh, sounds fab. I'm going to try it. I never think to add things like pearl barley. Cheers hun :)
