Male starting Lipotrim 14/10/20

Ok, male here, late 40's need to shift plenty of flab, picking up a month's worth of Lipotrim TFR from local pharmacy this Weds 14th Oct. Will try to follow the plan to the letter for as long as it takes to get my crazy BMI down to a reasonable level.
I will pop back to the pharmacy fortnightly where I'll share my 'progress' on here.

Starting at 138kg - 21st07lb

Thanks

Ok, update time, Weds 28th Oct.
Started on Weds 14th Oct, due to working patterns, it's only realistic to pop down the Pharmacy every two weeks, but we're ok with this.
Definitley a mind over matter thing, drinking at least 3.5 litres of water, a shake at around Midday and the other one from 6pm.
I have not cheated at all, nada, nothing... although some strong temptations floating in and out of my mind, I'm able to move on pretty quickly.
I've found it a rollercoaster, but it's really, really helped me that I'm working from home in these strange times as I can do this in a routine that works for me.

Was 138kg, now 130kg, very happy with that indeed.
Will be back at Pharmacy Weds 11th Nov.

Thanks.

Ok, update time, Weds 11th Nov
Was 130kg, now 125kg, so have lost 13kg in a month which is hard for my noggin to get round

Better 2 weeks looking back I think, picked up another 2 weeks of the Choc shakes, back for a weigh in 25th Nov.

Thanks.

Ok, update time, Weds 25th Nov
Was 125kg, now 119kg, so in 6 weeks lost 19kg, about 3 stone. 'mazin really!

The last 2 weeks were better than the last 2 which were better than the first 2, so I'm pleased with that.
Still 100%, shakes and about 3-4 litres of fizzy water, as I bought one of those sodastreamy things - v handy.

My shakes hasn't arrived, should be in tomorrow, so it's just leaf tea and fizzy water until then.

Thanks.

Ok, update time, Weds 9th Dec
Was 119kg, now 113kg, so in 8 weeks, lost 25kg, about 4 stone!

Very determined at the moment, still no cheating, think I will do another 4-6 weeks, won't bother with Christmas festivities this year - there's always another one next year!

Will update in 2 weeks today.

Thanks.

well done for u have done very well

Ok, update time, Weds 23rd Dec
Was 113kg, now 109kg

Walking more now, shakes for Xmas and New Year - why not, they'll be one next year!

Will update in 2 weeks today.

Thanks and Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Honestly, such an amazing achievement in itself, let alone all of your progress so far!

How are you feeling and how much more do you want to lose?

Thanks again, luckily in these times, I have been able to work from home and that means that I have been able to get on with it without any external temptations or judgements etc, etc.
I've been feeling fine really all of the way through. It hasn't been easy though, but if you want to do it and life throws no barriers at you whilst you do it - I think anyone can. I had to do something 'drastic' and stick to it, and I'm pleased I have so far.
But I cannot wait to finish and refeed carefully, then move to a low carb/Keto meal change with time restricted eating
I have had my shakes quite close to each other each day, which I hope will help me transistion to this kind of change - I know there will be days and times where I go out, socialise, but long gone are the days where I was out most nights in the week.
Challenge is to get back onto the straight and narrow more often than not and I have read and researched loads in the meantime.

How much more do I want to lose, I think 4 more weeks on this perhaps, get below 100kg's, refeed carefully and monitor (lose more slowly) weight for a couple of months and get in the habit of measuring my waist weekly and keeping on top of maintaining my weight.

To get rid of the bulk though, this has been mega, mega fast and I have not swerved from Black coffee, fizzy water and the shakes. At all.

Ok, update time.
Shakes arrived in Pharmacy yesterday afternoon, but I had a few spare so popped down this morning.
Was 109kg, now 104kg - which is approx 16.3 stone.

A bonus was that my blood pressure readings is now 'textbook', it was v dangerously high when I started.

We talked about refeeding and the Pharmacist said let's think how about we are to do this, so I am and he will work with me to devise a refeeding plan, he wasn't keen on using the maintenance thingies, so as I get on with the shakes we can think about pairing this with a palm sized amount of meat and healthy veggies, and working up just as Lipotrim advise.

I mentioned time restricted eating which he says would help, but only if your lifestyle can sustain it, which currently it can.

I think I'll be close to where I want to stop by 03/02/21, I have had that date in my mind when I've been projecting endlessly about when to stop, but we'll see.

I haven't weighed myself once at home during this, don't know whether that's a help or a hindrance but I haven't worried about it.
The only thing I have measured is my waist which is obviously going the right way.

Will continue until next weigh in on Weds 20th Jan.

Thanks.

Well done, you’re doing so amazing ☺️

I agree it is not easy, however lockdown saves you from being invited to any social events, thus saving you from temptation!

I personally find it better to just weigh once a week rather than every day - I know for some they like to see the numbers reducing and that spurs them on, but for me I just like to get my head down and get on with it, try to focus more on how I’m feeling rather than obsessing with the numbers on the scale.

Is this the first time you’ve done Lipotrim?

There used to be lots of people on Lipotrim in this forum, but not so many these days.

Well done again, take care ☺️

Thanks very much, I am very chuffed, I'm more chuffed though that I've been 100% with this.
Weighing yourself when you do it is up to each and everyone differently I guess. There are scales here, but don't use them - it's no biggie.
This is the first time I have done Lipotrim or any VLCD for that matter, it's not for everyone I'd imagine and with Keto or Fasting approaches to weight loss becoming more and more popular.
At the beginning when I was really thinking about what to do, I felt I needed something simple (although the process isn't) and get results fast as possible, then think about what I need to do to keep the weight going down (more slowly).
I'm very happy that I've got this far - probably on this VLCD until early Feb.
That's the next thing I am thinking about over the next month or so.

Really nice to get positive responses from yourself, take care too! :)

It’s a psychological battle sometimes isn’t it, not eating is against our instincts so our mind can fight us.

I quite enjoyed Lipotrim (it was still tough!), but waking up each day knowing I was taking control of my weight and health felt really good.

Taking a break from food is also a good opportunity for reflection and to reset eating habits - food will taste so different when you start your refeed programme and have food again. Quite incredible really ☺️

Good Evening both,
I started Lipotrim on the 3rd March. I’ve been looking for a group of people to chat to for support, not sure if you guys are still active. I don’t know anyone that has ever done anything like this before. I haven’t cheated once, I’ve stuck to it! Only drunk water too, brought peppermint tea and love tea but haven’t felt I have wanted any yet. Before lockdown last year I had made the decision to go to abroad and have surgery Easter 2020. I had found the place and ready to go for it. I just wanted something to change. I’d been looking to do something major and in February I found Lipotrim - did some research and thought this was the thing to go for. No surgery, easy (as in prep) and fastish results. As soon as I was happy I purchased through the Lipotrim website and I got started the day after it was delivered. I started at 22st4lb and lost 13lb week 1. It’s hard. I plan to do this for the next 6 months at least. Can I ask where you guys are at with your diet? X

Hi Emma, how are you getting on?
I haven’t found many people on Lipotrim, the forum has been rather quiet.
Hope you’re doing okay ☺️
