Whehey Miss D :)

I don;t think I will ever join you in these challenges
I think I will lose what I lose, and I can't eat any less
and I can't really exercise anymore than I am
If I start slipping (the odd meal sneaking in, or being a couch potato all week) then I will probably come in
I have enough goals I set myself & get disappointed over if I don't lose

I think its great you all do it though

It's only a bit of fun really. :)

I'm not going to get stressed if I don't make my "target", nor am I going to make any major changes to how I do my plan. It's also a bit of a challenge to try and work out a realistsic target based on the loss ratios so far I think - or is that my inner anorak emerging again? Dunno about the rest of you but I'm certainly not just going "oh I'd like to lose a stone so I'll put that down for this month" then running off to hide in a dairy milk when I don't do it. No, I'm looking at my average loss per week so far, looking at my social plans for this month and trying to guess how well or badly I will be able to do.

Except that I seem to be losing more weight on add-a-meal week than I did last week, so far anyway......... If that continues I may stay on it forever! :D

I agree with Yam, it's only a bit of fun for me too (plus I'm terrible at stepping down from a challenge - I can't do it!) but it would definitely upset me to think that someone would put too much pressure on themselves to achieve yet another target they've set for themselves.

Mags, I think you are doing just great from your stats, keep on doing whatever is working for you to keep you on track - cos it is obviously working :D

I agree with you all about it just being fun. Also, it is good to look forward to see what you may weigh in a month's time, but even more fun to look back to the beginning of the month and realise what you weighed then. Sometimes, when we weigh ourselves weekly, or in my case more like daily, it can seem a long slow struggle to shift the weight, but then looking back to what I weighed at the beginning of Feb, I realise that I have done a good job and that motivates me to keep on to target.

BTW - I got on the scales this morning and have worked out that I am now officially no longer obese - I am now OVERWEIGHT!! Hurray ( Slightly bizarre celebrating being overweight, but you know what I mean!)

Whehey! Go, Yummy! :happy036:

I had a little celebratory dance when I realised I was smack bang in the middle of the overweight bmi. It's surreal when you think about it but who cares! It's another marker of success!

Meeeee tooo...

After many years of going to assorted clubs, meetings and the like, I have realised that I have little control over how much I lose, or whether it comes off consistently every week. But I know how much I ought to conservatively lose each week on average, factor in the month's events, count the number of weeks, and then give myself some breathing space. If I don't hit it, it simply means I've got my estimates wrong.

However given that I'm really bad at setting any sort of achievable target or goal with a time limit (if I do half-heartedly get around to it, I just sorta leave them 'floating') I thought I'd get some practice in. :)

I know just what you mean, refuse to get on the scales before official day but think I might well have joined you in the overweight bracket now - well done Yummy :D

Ooh ooh, count me in please, aiming for 8lbs, good luck everyone!

1lb on add a meal week is fine Pinky, I always drop right down too. At least it is still off!
