Moonlights' (temporary) Maintenance

Tone lowering alert !! Was trying to keep things on a cerebral level Susie!! Lol

Haha no no men, I'm not a Shirley type. Sure it will be ok, if not I'll sit in B&B and talk to you all xx

And we will be here x

Hi ML - agree that rain gets me a bit down - but i'm sure you will have a lovely break and really enjoy it xxx

Where do you all like going in Cornwall? I'll be in Newquay for 5 days - two coach trips one to st Ives and st michaels mount, one to Tintagel and areas round there. Will need to sleep most of the day after each of those but am hoping to take the bus to Padstow too.

Food:

Lamb loin
Asparagus

Parma ham

Rump steak
Eggs
Spring onion

Mug of alpro

Zoooooooooooooodles tommorow I think.

hmmm Mevagissey (sp) Padstow,:Looe, newquay Truro. witch museum in Boscastle.

I'll be staying in Newquay - any recs in that local area? I'll be on foot. Think the Tintagel tour goes to Boscastle so will see if I can check out the witches ;)

Boscastle is a must ML. It's a stunning place with heaps of history. The witchcraft museum is really interesting. I've never been to Newquay. I'm sure you'll find an abundance of tea rooms and local independent art galleries, a few museums and quirky little curio shops. That's really the setting for most of the Cornish harbour towns.

Your meaty menu looks good today, I think I'm going to have a lamp steak for breakfast now... It will be a first.

Can't get to Boscastle unless the tour stops there unfortunately, Cornwall seems to be a bit of a nightmare to get around without a car, but I think it does... Have a feeling that's the lunch stop.

Hope the lamb steak is good! I am not a big fan of lamb, I can only eat it if very lean, but now and then I fancy it.

Currently in negotiations with family member to have something Atkins friendly for lunch next Tues without telling them I'm on a diet - can't abide the comments/looks/questions tbh would rather go off plan than say anything BUT will be off plan sat afternoon for similar reasons on sat afternoon and was hoping to get back on Sunday - Friday at which point I'll be off plan for -gulp- two weeks.

Wrangling for bacon and eggs on Tues....

Always wanted to go to Cornwall your holiday sounds ideal ML.

Burgh Island Devon is another place I'd love to go to, but the price of the rooms is ££££.

My b&b is £30 a night :) only way I could afford it. One day - somewhere warm!

Yes Cornwall is tricky without transport... Local buses are a challenge... Would advise you check out the timetables online before you leave as some only run every hour or 2 - or only with an R in the month or something!

Padstow is lovely - in fact most of it is lovely ... I hope you enjoy ML... You need a break xxx

I agree the buses only run intermittently - but maybe a local taxi firm will do a deal?

Boscastle is lovely, i went there in my pre-Atkins days and had (sorry - food porn alert) a scrumptious cream tea :)

Taxis would be out of my price range I expect but Boscastle is on the tour woop.
