Doesn't your chemist supply you with them in a carrier with the instructions on? The mousse instructions on the bag say to use 120ml cold water. Perhaps whipping it with a whisk will give a better texture. I have never tried it that way, feeling that the shake would be more filling. It also says to remember to drink an extra half pint of water to compensate. : )

It doesnt actually turn out like a mousse as such, it is more like a cake mixture consistency. I know you are not on Cambridge but they do a "mix a mousse" which when added to the shakes does actually make it more of a mousse x

Hi, the only way I could take the shakes was as a mousse....but it is more like cake mix than mousse! It's trial and error really I found the vanilla made a thicker consistancy than the choc one so used less water in the choc. I did find that if you mix it into a paste with a really small amount of water than add a little bit more bit by bit its easier to get the texture you like.
The choc tastes like choc instant whip, also not sure if you can do it with the strawberry one as this is not mentioned on the carrier bag.
I hope this has helped you.
