Mushroom stroganoff

been living off of this...

1-2tsp olive oil or frylight if wanting synfree

1 onion finely chopped with 1-2 cloves garlic

when onion has softened add lots of chopped/sliced mushrooms of your choice (I use button and chestnut and add a few oyster slices at end) A frying panful


take off heat when cooked & let cool slightly

add 2tbsp quark, chopped parsley and lots of fresh black pepper

serve with brown rice, salad or on its own.


leftovers great on toast

That sounds great! I will defo be trying that soon. May even be the ONE dish the OH won't steal as he hates mushrooms! :) Xxx

Planning on making this tonight, advice please though...

Once mushrooms have cooked then Quark is added how long should it be cooked for?

Does the quark not get heated once added, or does it get ate cold?
