My 12 Week Challenge starting today - Anyone care to join? - LETS DO IT!!

Brilliant, that means we started same day and same ish amount to lose too. My starting weight was 12.8 and this morning I was 12.5... How exciting a challenge. Down the hatch with more water. Yuk

What about the others? OABAAB….YORKIEPUD….ENLIGHTENME2 ?…….Come on you guys! Hope you are still in the challenge!…. I would really love for you guys to be also successful in your weight loss journey….

If you have slipped up…no problem…just get back on the wagon again and restart and make a promise to yourself that you will stick it out until the 12 weeks are over. Please do post every day in this forum. That is one way to keep the accountability and help us stay on track!

Remember, we are ALL in this together. It is going to be really tough for the next few days, with all the horrible cravings. But we can beat those cravings to the ground and come out winners! I mean, just imagine how we will look 12 weeks from now! WE CAN DO THIS!:bunnydance:

Hi, can I join in your challenge please? I have been doing the diet for 11 days but I'm struggling for motivation! Something like this will keep me going. You all sound very motivated. I want to loose about 3-31/2 stone depending how I look. Look forward to hearing how your doing :)

Maybe we could start out own team, there are team rules on another thread, I don't think there are any others but not too sure. If someone nominates to be team captain and work out weekly individual loss percentages and combined team weight loss percent that may be enough as a motivator to keep us all going plus a wee bit of competition never hurts anyone. If someone is struggling or going off the rails hen we can all pull together and provide support. Daily updates from team members etc. Who's up for it????

Hi Cham, I'm up for that but can commit to being the captain, sorry

Hi there! Would I be able to join you guys? I'm starting day 1 tomorrow and could really do with some support... I'm aiming to lose 4 stone and all before September this year which has to be achievable right? I've just looked at some photos of myself last october - they've really shocked me and I know I'm heavier now which just makes me feel even more motivated to make it work... Roll on day 1!

Hope you're all doing ok?

Daisy xxx

Hi daisy, yes very achievable as long as you stick to it. I'm on day 3 and have got the same, 4 stone to lose by August. Together we can do this hunni xx

Yay! Thank you! I'm working tomorrow which is why I thought it would be a good day to start - when I'm home with my son I tend to snack all day. This should give me a chance to start off right - I just won't enter the break room!! Hope you have a great day tomorrow x

Of course you are all absolutely welcome to join!! I think we are building a wonderful family of SSians out here!

In my honest opinion…..I do not think that setting up a competition will be agreeable to everyone.

Since exercise is not an option while on this plan, and there are no other variable factors involved, I personally think that we should focus only on sticking to the diet 100%and drinking the recommended amount of water. We all have different weight loss goals. But we are all trying to achieve our weight loss goals through one common diet plan. That should be the binding force to help us get through these 12 weeks. If we set up competition and comparisons, it may frustrate some and may result in them backing out.

What I do suggest, is that if we do decide to take up the 12 week challenge we should mention the start and end date of our plan in the thread, so that we are accountable to everyone. Preferably also we should place the start date of the 12 week challenge, end date and the starting weight in the profile, on the left hand side of our posts, for easy reference to all the other members. We should not change that starting date either, since that will be defeating the entire purpose.

That way, if anyone chooses to join later all they have to do is update their starting date, starting weight and the ending date of the 12 week challenge in the thread. Also, I think we should try and post everyday, about our progress. It will help us keep on track, and make ourselves accountable for our daily activities.

So no pressures here….the only rule I think we need is to STICK TO THE SS PLAN 100% and if we do cheat, we should confess to the group, so that we can get the encouragement we need to get back on track, before falling off completely.

Ultimately, the most important thing is we all stick to the plan 100% and achieve our personal weight loss goals. As long as we do, we will all surely get a sense of pure satisfaction, and smell victory at the end of 12 weeks. For the SS plan will not fail us, as long as we commit to it 100%.

Our team should cheer every victory, inspire each other, pick each other up when the other falls, encourage, motivate and drive each other to be the best they can be…..So everybody, hop on board and get ready for the best ride of your life! We are in this together and we will succeed!!:)

Hi there!
I have now successfully completed my 3rd day as well. You know, it was REALLY tough yesterday. I was SO tempted to have chicken and rice yesterday, and I almost gave in. But the only thing that stopped me, was thinking about having to post my progress on this thread today. And so I successfully overcame the craving!

Instead, I had an extra packet of soup (As advised by my CDC, when I feel hungry) and went off to bed. But it was really hard going to sleep.

Today morning when I got up, I felt so proud of myself for overcoming that moment.

I have noticed that my cravings are the strongest between 6pm and 10pm. If I can get past that period, I am successful for the day. I need to think of something to do during that period, to keep me occupied, so that I don’t think of these cravings. Anyway, I think it will get better as the days go by and once I am in the depth of ketosis. Until then I just have to hang on....

In fact, as a short term goal, I am waiting to come down below 70kg. I am almost there! Hopefully, by the seventh day I will cross into the 60’s from the 70’s. That would be wonderful!!

So now onto Day 4 running and drum roll…….I lost almost 1kg! (900g to be specific) ….I am SO happy for many reasons today, especially since I almost ruined everything yesterday!!

26/02/2013 – 74kg (Starting date)
27/02/2013 - 73kg ( 1kg down!)
28/02/2013 - 72.7kg (300g down)
01/03/2013 – 71.8kg (900g down!!) :bunnydance:

I'm in!!!! However, I'm a little ahead of you all - is it OK if I join?

I also have alot more weight than you to lose - 30kgs to go (lost 10 already). Thats 66lbs to lose as lost 22lbs.

I'm doing SS - 3 shakes a day. Not excercising - no energy!!!!!

My weigh in is a Friday morning.

Plan is to lose all this weight in 12 weeks! Well, I hope so!

Thanks for the warm welcome.:D

I'm pretty determined, so sure I can manage 12 weeks of SS. Its hard going and I've stopped socialising as I dont want any temptation in my path. I'm pretty happy with the weight loss so far, it just feels so slow right now.... and I'm impatient! LOL!

I hang out here often for the encouragement.

All sounds Fabio to me, I'm in. Defo wanna feel two stone lighter by my 40th birthday in April. Then the final push for a further two stone by my fabulous Disney world holiday in august. Last time we went 5 years ago I was big and frumpy and so self conscious of myself. Just wanna enjoy my holiday its costing an arm and a leg so girlies please help Mr get there :)

Since exercise is not an option while on this plan,

No reason at all you can't exercise on this plan - I do and it has boosted my weightloss since I started exercising on week 5. They just advise you don't start any new exercise programmes in first 2 weeks, and to stop if you feel dizzy

So no pressures here….the only rule I think we need is to STICK TO THE SS PLAN 100% :)

That makes perfect sense. Even when people stick to SS 100% we all lose weight at different rates depending on physiology, age, fitness, health, sleep, stress etc. You can't turn it into a race to lose a certain amount of weight because it's not a level playing field.

But sticking to the plan is something everyone can do. :)

1st day today!

Hi all, I would like to join in the 12 week challenge too please. I had my 1st meeting this morning and starting the plan today! I need to lose around 4 stone and need all I support I can get :) I'm doing SS, feeling positive at the moment but worried about getting through the 1st few days until into Ketosis!
