My New Ending

Hi I'm Jo,I'm single and live on my own, I'm 5ft3" and weigh 11:6. I am new to the exante diet and writing this blogs too. The reason I want to loose weigh as I want to get into size 10 and totally change my image! I want to feel good about myself and like my body instead of detesting it and the unnceccessary blubber around!
My good friend was talking about going on the exante diet and I decided it was a really good idea as I am bored on the diets that take forever getting the results you want, I tend to get bored halfway thru so I have one extra treat, it won't hurt me and before i know it the one extra treat has now turned into five and then the whole diet has been thrown out the window!!
I am only on day two and so far I am doing okay, finding the shakes tasty, had strawberry and banana so far, the soups just vile, but I hate soup at the best of time so I drink it very quickly and tell myself as I drink it why I am doing this and the bars are ok, I eat it as slowly as I can. I am doing well drinking the water, which seems endless going to the loo at times.... I find it bit tough going sometimes as I just think food, food, food is there any tips what I can do to distract myself, the stupid thing is I am not even hungry I am just use to comfort eating on chocolate in the evening!!
Well i hope I haven't sent you all to sleep and wish you all lots on luck with you journeys.
Bye for now
Jo xx

Hi jo your not alone we are all on this journey because other diets have failed us (we have failed them ).. I would love to also change my image and my life style i have about 2 stone to lose i have already lost 2 half stone already 15lbs on exante .Im quite lucky as i love all the food on exante ive been doing this 4 weeks and out of that had 3 bad days 2 were planned partners birthday and the other just binged.
The only advice i can offer is try to enjoy it the worst thing is if you dont like it you wont stick to it . Drink plenty of water this helps the hunger . Keep your self busy it will stop you thinking about food . Last but not least come on this forum we are a family and offer everyone support and we alsdo have a laugh.
Get your self a weight loss ticker to jazz up your profile. GOOD LUCK XX

Hi Jo, welcome to the forum, what is your goal weight Jo because at 5"3 I would imagine a couple of stone should do it. I know some people who are the same height and look great at 11st but then I suppose each to their own. Good luck with the diet and agin welcome to the forum.

Hi Jo, I'm new to this diet too and am in my third week so can't offer you as much advice and info as the other guys who seem to know everything!!!!!
However, I have noticed that on the days I don't keep on top of my water intake, I feel pretty rotten, so drink loads of water.
I don't like shakes so only have soups which I thought were pretty rank to begin with but I've now become used to them and they're not so bad. I add different seasonings to try and tart them up a bit, had curry powder in my chicken last night and it was quite yummy!
Sometimes I split the packs to give me more 'meals' in the day, if I think I'm going to have a hungry day - evenings are worst for me too, so I tend to save a bit of my bar so at least I feel like I'm still having a munch on something!
Anyway, good luck, keep busy (sometimes, I sit and do my kids colouring in books in the evening to keep my hands busy lol) and read the fab advice that the guys on here give as they are great.

Hi Jo, welcome to our merry band. This is a tough diet but it can also be very flexible. This forum is a lifeline so I hope you can come here often for support and advice if needed.
The water does help but it's tough to get it all down you at the start! But I find constantly running to the loo is good exercise lol.
Good luck x

goodluck and welcome jo,
like u i am re-inventing my self, i lost 21lb in 6 weeks which i am pleased with. Initially i was only going to do it short term, but i can say i am finding this really easy compared to some, don;t get me wrong i have bad days, but i get straight back on the next day. u will have blips but don;t give up and u will see results.
I am really pleased with the diet and hope to be around for some time.x

hi jo click on my ticker and it will take you to the site and do the same with the name xx

Hiya All,
Thank you for all replying to me!! It is fantastic to know I have got lots of support out there, well day three has been tough going as my super skinny know it all mate was on about food all day and going on about he can eat what he wants anytime and does not put on weight then made me go thru hell by going into Morrissons and all thru out I was really strong and only bought myself some bubble bath so I could chill out when I left him and some more loo roll as drinking all this water is making me go so much more!! Reading all your lovely comments have made me feel really good about it all and helps me stay focused so Thank you once again and what a fantastic idea it is splitting the meals up I will do it when I know I am going to have a hungry day!!
I am going to loose 3 stone as I would like to be 8 and a half stone maybe 9 stone at the most! I have decided in September I am going to take up burlesque dancing as it will tone me up and will give me confidence so I will no longer have the two left feet!!
I hope you all had a good day and it hasn't been difficult for you and would love to hear from you all again!! What is the team blue and team pinks all about?? I have still not sussed the tickler and the name thing as keep going wrong!! Sorry for the boring lay out.

Hi Jo, as you have read we are all here to support each other, I am afraid food is prorbably going to be on your mind quite a lot as it seems the only thing everyone ever talks about is food, well thats my experience anyway. At work they talk about it, supplies bring in food everyday, it's someone's birthday every other day or some just brings in goodies for fun so the temptations are going to be all around us most of the time but we deal it as we really want to lose weight.

Please do not worry about the Team Blue and Pink Ladies thing, it was just a bit of fun that has now stopped.

Did you know that there have been a couple of scientific studies done on groups doing food replacement VLCD (in America I think) that have showed that a common side-effect is an obsession with food? :D The results showed that people on VLCD talk about food more, watch tv programmes about food more and just generally have a much more heightened interest in it while they are on abstinence.

So we are all normal lol, honest!

Welcome to the forum Jo, and good luck with your diet. :)

A word of warning though, you seem to have a bit of a hit-and-miss approach to goal-setting! What makes you think you would be any happier at 8.5 stone than you would be at 9 stone, 9.5 etc etc? And what happens if you don't get there? Do you pig out and go back to how you were with the disappointment, getting back into an endless cycle of yoyo dieting, or keep pushing yourself with a TFR diet until you become ill? Just some food for thought for you...... (did you see what I did there? :D)

(ps I love food porn! The good food channle has become my secret vice when the OH isn't looking..........)

Hey All,
Today has been a really good day I am feeling so much better about it all, I don't think about food constantly and I am happy to have my soup even when my friends were having pate on toast, which is one of my faves! But thru out it I kept telling me I will get there! I have decided on getting to 8 and a half stone. The reason I wasn't sure about it as some friends have said I may look too skinny, I want to get to a healthy size 10 for sure, but not sure what weight you are to be a size 10.
Hope you are all having a good day with it all.

Jo

I want to get to a healthy size 10 for sure, but not sure what weight you are to be a size 10.

Doesn't matter what weight WE are, it matters what weight YOU are! If that's what you want to be why not set that as your goal? The scales aren't everything.......;)
