My Road To Slim City

:8855: :8855: much needed giggle there (at the mooneys!)
Most definately can see you've lost the weight there :8855:

On a serious note dont you just wish you could bottle the feelings like today, ie sports day, what your son said, what the lady said. You have had such a lovely well deserved day

There are days my kids make my heart burst with pride, my eyes fill with tears of laughter and happiness and then times like now when I start to think I did something wrong, but ultimately I adore them all and wouldnt change them for the world, warts an all... :D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What a FANTASTIC day!!

It started with the usual groundhog day feeling ie doing the childrens breakfast, getting them off to school and then going to the office that I have been decorating all week to do some more painting and then my day got better...

My husband had the afternoon off and we went to our youngest son's sports day in the gorgeous sunshine :D There wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was fantastic... My son did two novelty races and then came the big race that he had been dreading and even tried to tell me he was sick this morning when he woke up because he desperately didn't want to take part in sports day. He had to do a 2 lap race so twice around the cricket field/school sports field! He started off quite badly and was in the back 5 and I could see the pain in his face and that is when I had to put my sunglasses on so he couldn't see me crying. He did the first lap and got half way around the 2nd when I let out the biggest shout I ever have and shouted "COME ON KYLE YOU CAN DO IT!" and he heard me and he ran so fast I thought he was going to fall over...

He over took about 10 children to be placed 15th out of 62 children :D Aww I cried my eyes out as I was so proud. Out of all 3 of my boys he is the one that doesn't like sport although the other two thrive on it! My eldest son wants to be a pe teacher and my middle son is in teh county cricket team, plays football and rugby plus he is fantastic at athletics! My youngest on the other hand HATES sport and the fact he did so well I was so proud.

He saw me crying and when he came to meet me after the sports day he said to me

"Mum why were you crying? Was it because I wasn't first?"

I replied with

"I don't care whether you were first or last, the fact that you completed it and did your very best made me very proud! :D )

He hugged me and said "I love you Mum and I am glad I make you proud because I am proud of you!" guess what? I cried again...

Then to top it all when leaving the school a woman I used to work with was walking behind us and as she walked past she looked over her shoulder at me and I said Hello. To which her reply was

"Oh My G*d it is you Michelle, I saw your husband and wondered who he was with because I didn't think it was you! You have lost so much weight haven't you? You can tell in your face and especially on your backside!"

I said "Aww thank you. Yes I have lost 2 1/2 stone in total and if I had known you liked looking at my backside I would of flashed you ;) )

It felt great because I haven't seen her in over a year and that was before my ww diet or my sw journey... Big smiles on my face today :D

Wow I went on a bit in this post... Well done if you got to the end and read it all. I think you deserve a reward for reading it all hmmm now what can that be? Ohh I know I will flash you all my backside
:massmoon::massmoon::massmoon:

Awwwwwww that's so lovely Michelle. What a fantastic story. I love reading stuff like that. Please write it down for him for years to come so that you don't forget to let him know just how much it meant to you when he's old enough to appreciate it. Thanks for sharing.

Today whilst at work I had 2 hours doing nothing which sounds fantastic but you try sitting down for two hours without a computer, tv or making any noise because the lady I was looking after was sleeping... Thankfully I had my sw bible with me :D and I looked up alot of ss foods etc then I came up with some amazing yummy recipes that I will be putting on here in the next few weeks when I cook them. I have 2 sheets on a4 covered with recipes and they are mostly completely free ones. I have no doubt you will love them Jackie :D

The soup is gorgeous and I am cooking it over the weekend after I have been shopping!

I just had an e-mail from a good friend of mine and she thought I would find the following funy which I found very funny and I thought you all would too :D

I'm going to order a broiled skinless chicken breast, but I want you to bring me lasagna and garlic bread by mistake.

I have decided to try the religious diet, eat what I like and pray not to get fat!

Have you heard about the new "A" diet. Anything that starts with the letter "A" you can eat. For example, you can eat "a" hamburger or "a" french fry.

Thin people annoy me when they say "I forgot to eat." I've forgotten my keys, my phone number, my car running in the street all night, but I never forgot to eat

They say you are what you eat...so I'm gonna go eat a skinny person!

Try the new diet with 100% success. Fill your car with petrol before shopping and you won't have any money left to buy food!!

thinks fast food adverts are just porn for people on diets :D

Every time I say the word diet I wash my mouth out with ice-cream!

Diet tip: Drinking four glasses of water before every meal will help you lose weight, because you'll burn up a lot of calories running to the bathroom.

I promised myself I wouldn't eat the whole box of cookies in one sitting, so I'm eating standing up!

Was watching this diet pill commercial that said 'works only with good diet and exercise..' if i was dieting and excising, i wouldn't need the stupid pill..DUH

I found a lipstick that helps u loose weight...its called super glue :)

I was attacked by a cupcake. Not sure who won, but the cupcake is not available for comment. I can tell you I am fine and back on the path to weight loss.

Skinny girls freeze to death faster!

Everyone has a stomach like an ironing board....just some of us have bigger piles of ironing on ours!!

I got a phone call asking to donate clothes for the starving people of the world..I laughed so hard I cried..if they can fit in my clothes they ain't starvin'!!

Hehehehehe hope these all made you laugh :8855::8855::8855::8855::8855::8855::8855:

:8855::8855::8855::8855:

They were brilliant!

My Mother has a favourite saying, when defending her being overweight, and that is...."You will never find any wrinkles on a balloon!";)

Lol! Thanks for those Michelle and Ginlin! Xx

You know, is there really any need.....?

I'm keeping a file on you both - a dossier if you like. All duly noted;)

Michelle your boy Kyle sounds lovely! - just like me, a kind, loving and sensitive soul. Such a pity that one day some predatory female might get their claws into him and corrupt him.

Tell him from Stevie to stick with his ma:)

Hi Michelle

Diary looking good but you sound so busy.

I am feeling v fed up today  went to wi at lunchtime in the hope that last weeks rubbish loss of 1lb would have a bit of a knock on effect to this week and as I have been 100% thought I'd get at least 2lbs off and hoped for 2.5lb for my 2 stone shiney. Only half off - couldn't believe it :( so fed up but as I've done quite a bit of walking this week and RFL yesterday, as Ellebear poined out, could be water retention. I was going to have a holiday week next week cos we're away for the weekend and don't think we'll be back in time for class, however, after todays performance I'm not going to have a holiday week, I'll hope to be back in time for class or I'll go to one on Wednesday morning next week and hope to get my shiney next week

Fed up today, am going to have a soak in the bath to relieve my aching legs from yesterday and an early night cos I'm knackered!

Much love to ya
xxxx
