My Weight Loss Journey

Have a lovely time in Bham, hope there are no temptations to sway you off track! :) iA see you next week, if my knee doesn't stop me walking straight. Will be getting two buses so will have to leave extra early! :) xxx

You can always come with me instead of getting the bus as we are not far away from each other. See your inbox.

Hey hun, glad you enjoyed the lentils and spinach! You've inspired me to try this again sometime soon!!

Re the king prawn risotto, it was darling Mummy that made it for me when I was down there but I must say I'm quite partial to a nice risotto!! It was yummy with soy sauce!! Mmmmm!!! Salmon & dill fishcakes with stirfried veg for me tonight! Ellebear and I did a 'Ready, Steady Cook' exercise, where we told each other the ingredients we both had in our fridges and created something for each other! She came up with the Waitrose fishcake recipe for me and they were really nice! Next time I'd try and increase the smoked salmon and decrease the potato as they were very spud-heavy!! I came up with a herby creamy tomatoey chicken & bacon pasta bake! A bit more of a throw everything together approach but she seemed to enjoy it! Enjoy Brum tomorrow!X

ps here's the link for Britmum's salmon recipe that I loved http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/baked-salmon-with-roasted-tomatoes-and-butternut-squash

Think I need to start trying to make new things. The main thing is having time to make them!

Yesterday...hmmm...was going well until my Afghani neighbours brought some spicy pasta with chicken over and yes I had some. Felt sick at night time, not sure if it's because it had too much oil in it. Need to be really good today and tomorrow for a chance at a loss. Off to Birmingham a little later, but will have my breakfast and lunch here and just snacks and dinner (which I'm taking with me) over there.

Green Day
Breakfast- 42g All Bran (HEB) + skimmed milk (HEA), apple

Lunch/Dinner- EDITED---All messed up as my son decided to open the tupperwear containing my food!!!!! So a day off plan---not sure if I should be happy or sad!

Water: 1.5 litres (may be pushing it as I don't want to have to stop on the motorway halfway to go to the toilet)
Exercise: None

PS- Thanks for the 3 reps whoever has read my diary :)

Yesterday was all nice and planned until we smell something really wierd coming from the car (although OH's BIL thought it was the farm animals outside) and come to know that my son decided to open the tupperwear while I was busy driving and yes you guessed it all my food went everywhere (this was to be my lunch- which I didn't get a chance to have at home and dinner)....So much for planning ahead! Guess it was a good excuse to indulge in quite a few things in Birmingham, but not sure it is great for the numbers on the scales. Another bad thing is that I can't make it to WI as we had a call last night for a party tonight as one of OH's friends wife had a baby girl, so we are off to that later today, but I'm sure it will only be lots of starters and drinks and socialising so may be able to still stick to plan.
Got on the scales this morning from home and it is showing .5lb off from last week, but would like to see it officially on the WI scales. Will try to see if I can make it to class on Tuesday or Wednesday to get an official reading.

Back on track today...it's going to be challenging with the kids home from school this week and the party tonight, but still aiming for 100% all week.

Green
Breakfast- 42g All Bran (HEB) with skimmed milk (HEA), banana
Lunch- Broccoli soup (had some leftover from yesterday's batch), omellete with onions, peppers, cheese (HEA)
Snack- Activia FF yogurt and an apple
Dinner- Quorn Sausages, AH Cous Cous, Fried Mushrooms before rushing off to the party
Snack- Determined to only have my green tea with my 2 Alpen Lights (HEB) there- the lady knows I'm on Slimming World so she won't force me to have anything...just need to resist myself!
Not adding any more syns just in case.....

Water: 1.5 litres
Exercise: None

Yesterday....hmmmm...was not a great day. Thought I would have to be careful at the party, but I actually went a little off board in the afternoon. I know I shouldn't really blame things on anyone but myself, but got the news that OH definately has HepB at the hospital yesterday and it is kind of stressing me out. All the family has to get tested and we may have to get vaccinated as well. Good thing though is that the herbal medicine that OH is taking (which he had to go all the way to Bradford to get a hold of) is actually working on him and even the doctor was impressed at his quick turnaround. Nonetheless it's another worry and hoping that he won't be a carrier all life, which we won't know until March next year (when his next appointment is). Anyways...with the stress of some of the news decided to hit the tin of biscuits, so wasn't too good in the afternoon. At the party last night, was a saint and only had some of the fruit salad and my 2 alpen lights and tea, but left when the Costco desserts came out as I knew I wouldn't resist.
Drawing a line across yesterday and trying to stick to my 100% day today.
Zumba this morning and can't wait, especially as I'll be joined by 10st10 :) It's gonna be fun!!!

Green Day-
Green Lemon tea to start the day
Breakfast (after Zumba)- 42g All Bran (HEB) with Skimmed Milk (HEA), 2 pears
Lunch- Egg, Baked Beans, Quorn Sausages and SW chips
Snack- Activia FF yogurt, frozen blueberries
Dinner- Vegetable Soup, .5 chapatti (2 syns) with daal curry
Snack- Green Lemon tea witih 2 alpen lights (HEB), Mini Twister (2 syns)

Water: 1.5 litres
Exercise: Zumba!!!

Sorry to hear about hubby, suppose at least he / you all can now be treated and the wondering what it is, is over. Flaming biscuits! - they have a lot to answer for. I have decided to take the scenic route, and sometimes life is about "going off plan" we indulge, we cut back, life gets in our way. We will get there and when we do, i am sure we will indulge and cut back again when we get to see that "target"

All the best for a 100% day.

Well said! Makes me feel better :)

I'm so sorry to hear about hubby :( *big hugs*

Was lovely to meet you today, thanks for introducing me to Zumba :) the most fun I've had in a long time xxx

Already posted on your thread, but it was lovely meeting you too! Funny how you spotted me so quick! Glad you enjoyed it and think we definately burned a lot of calories today. Funny how she kept saying we are going to cool down with the next song, but I felt it was just as intense as the previous one???

The teacher is great isn't she? Really makes you get into it. Curious if other classes around here are like that. Let me know if you find any others I can go to the next few weeks (while this one is gone).

Take care and btw you look great and can tell you don't have much more to reach your target.

sorry to hear about your hubby meli-but glad he is responding to treatment so well.
hope the rest of you are ok with the tests.

Had a good day yesterday, need another one like that today! Need to go to WI, but it's at the same time as the Zumba class tonight. Would prefer to do something that will lift my spirits then go to class and hear I've gained. Scales at home are showing a 1lb gain  Will search for more classes....
Have almost run out of fruit, so really need to get out and do some shopping before I start picking on the kids stuff!

(need to get a water bottle as OH threw mine away)

I hate when they do that!!!

I'm so glad I didn't go and hug the wrong person! I was sure it was you from the moment I stepped in the room, and then doubted myself a little bit before I remembered you said you stand near the front and you usually wear black :) You're so teeny! I had expected you to be intimidatingly tall  xxx

(need to get a water bottle as OH threw mine away)

Grrr, mine's done that too.
And once he chucked the mini bottles I put shampoo etc. in when travelling for work ('cos you can't take normal sized bottles on planes...)!

I sent him out whinging and moaning to search out some travel-sized toiletries to replace them!

Today was not a good day. Not sure if it's my * week coming up or what. Didn't get to make it to SW class or to Zumba as I was stuck in the kitchen cooking dinner and lost track of time and it was already 6:15pm when I asked OH what time it was and it was too late for both. Was thinking about all the events I have coming up and for the next 2 weekends will be busy going out of town, so really need a kick up the bum to stick to plan the next few days otherwise I'll really be in for a shock come Monday (WI day).
Went out and bought the fruit and water bottle, but didn't have any of these today. Instead went for the Balti Mix and had quite a lot of that and then my Afghani neighbours brought some more food over- this time rice with sweet carrots and raisins. Arggh...where did my mojo go????

No I won't throw away all the hard work I've done to get to where I am. That is my motto today. Just have to keep chanting that when I have the urge to have something I'm not supposed to.

Went for blood tests today for the PCOS and the HepB, so hoping to get more news on them next week. Can't believe that I'm the one who had to tell the nurse where my vein was after she had 3 attempts!!

Red Day today- don't remember the last time I had one of these

Wrote such a long post and it said to logon again on Minimins...

Yesterday- Surprise visit from friend and her family who brought a chocolate cake- yes ended up having some, but a small piece. Otherwise was good the rest of the day.
Today- Have a Going Away/Halloween Party to go to tonight (still no outfit- any ideas for something I can throw together quickly???), but will stick to my Alpen Lights and Green Lemon Tea - they all know I'm on SW, so they'll understand and support me.
Tomorrow (Sat)- Going to Bradford to a friends house (her mom makes lovely food)- don't know yet whether I'll take my own food or dig in.
Sunday- Going to Brummy again and on the way back in Stoke have a dinner party at night and it's a Lamb party, which means it's lovely lamb curry on the menu with naan. Again, let's see what I decide to do (depends how I've been on Saturday).

So busy weekend and lots of temptations.... sometimes I have an attitude of just sod it and enjoy this week and I'll lose next week and then I think no next weekend is the same with all events going on so need to try to do my best.

Today just sticking to fruits and veg most of the day to make up for the last few days, so not really a red or green day.

Breakfast- 42g All Bran (HEB) and skimmed milk (HEA), 2 pears
Lunch- Big Bowl of Veggie Soup, apple
Snack- Shapes Yogurt, frozen blueberries
Dinner- Fried Egg, 3 quorn sausages, Baked Courgettes, Mushrooms, Aubergines with Cajun Spices
Snack (at the party)- 2 Alpen Lights (HEB) with Green Lemon Tea
Snack (after the party)- Total 0% yogurt with skinny cow hot choc (2 syns)

Water- 1.5 litres
Exercise: none

Edit: Thanks girls for your well wishes...just can't wait until next week when I get the results.

I hate fancy dress so generally get away with being a black cat at halloween :)
Black clothes, stuffed black stocking as a tail, colour your nose black and draw on some whiskers with eye liner....alice band with a couple of triangles of black paper for ears if you are feeling really adventurous. Job done!
You do have a lot of temptations every weekend by the looks of it, I don't think I could do so well with naan bread around. Well done for being so strong :)
