I am doing my food diary every day. I do it on the slimming world site but it feels as though someone is looking to see if they ok on here.:rolleyes:


:D:) Have already done 2 somewhere but goodness knows.
Have been doing slimming world for some time know and had lost just under 3 stones then went to NZ to visit my son for 6 weeks - he is a great cook- in that 6 weks I put on 11 pounds I have struggled fo a couple of years since then. At present I am down by 2st 1/2lb. Muat do more. Hoping it will help putting on hear. Catch my diaries from Sunday

Monday 14th May

BREAKFAST---- 5 SCAN BRAN H/Eb WITH BANANA ON 2 AND GRILLED TOMS ON 3. 2 COFFEE

350ml semi skimmed milk H/E b

LUNCH Breakfast was 10.30am as got up very lateso just had pineapple and kiwi fruit with nat yog

DINNER Roasted with frylight - 1/2 corgette 1/2 pepper onion 1 carrot 1/2 butternut squash 1/2 parsnip sprinkled
with rosemary and a little 5 spice. Would have been better just with rosemary. Added250g par boiled
spud to brown off. This just about filled my plate to which I added a pork loin chop. Added 15ml sweet
chilli sauce 1 1.2 syns.
Pineapple and pear. Sugar free Jelly 1 1/2 syns

Before bed Baileys coffee. 35ml bsileys 5 1/2 syns

Tuesday 15th may

h/e b 2 slices from 400g loaf
h/e a 350ml sk milk

breakfast tin beans on 3 bread + 2 eggs on top with 1/2 tsp oil (oil 1 syn. xtra bread 2 1/1 syns)
followed by 2 pears
Lunch - OH beans again. 3 rashers bacon in a tin of beans with 3 scan bran & pineapple
Dinner will be == Beef casserole with carrots onions & oxo cubes. With cauliflower & broccoli plus around 250g boiled potato (have to know how much potato there is otherwise I would have a saucepanful,
Snack 2 scan bran with banana & fat free nat yogurt,

The scan bran are 1 syn each so 5 for scan bran + 1 oil + 2 1/1 bread. Total 8 1/2

If I have anything else it will be fruit and maybe milky coffee before bed. (no baileys left)

Sunday 19th May

Before the diary have some news. My son has a step brother who has just had a baby girl. Her name is Keavy Amelia Ann.
We are so pleased for them and Dads Mum who is a very good friend of mine.

Anyway down to business. Didn`t get up until 11.30 so everything running late

Hexa 350ml skimmed milk.
Hexb 2 slices wholemeal bread



Breakfast 2 eggs in frylight 2 grilled toms & mush done in microwave. xtra slice bread 2 1/2 syns

Dinner Beef casserole with carrot onion & oxo cubes with cauli brocolli & boiled spud. 10g bisto powder 1 syn

Evening Strawberry rice. Followed by some grapes

(cook long grain rice until very soft, cool & add mullerlight strawberry yogurt.

Lots coffee and diet lemonade. 5 scan bran and 1 banana (5syns)

MONDAY 20th MAY

My food diary for today - first tho` went out with my brother today after my breakfast. We stopped for coffee and he had a cooked breakfast. I JUST HAD COFFEE . Good eh?

H/E a 350 ml milk
H/E b 2 slices bread

Breakfast 1/2 tin beans, 2 eggs fried in frylight on top. 3 toast h/eb + 2 1/2 syns

Lunch Mug shot 1% and 5 scan bran with banana coffee 5 syns

Dinner beef casserole left from yesterday incl carrot & onion. With boiled potatoes cauli & brocc
Used 10g bisto powder to thicken gravy. 1 syn

Sure there will be more - update later. OMG there was.

4 slices bread @2 1/2ea 10syns and 1 banana & coffee.I wasn`t hungry at all but still had it. I did enjoy it but syns no good

That came to 18 1/2 syns. BE CAREFULNOW

Why do we eat when we not hungry. That is why I am fat. Not too much longer I hope.

MUST DO BETTER TOMORROW!!!

TUESDAY 21ST MAY.

Well a little good news.
Saw my diabetic nurse today and even tho`I have not really lost any weight in last 6 months my long term sugar count is down to 6.9. She was really pleased

Right here we go

HEa halfmilk and half philly lite (30) with banana mmmm HEb 2 slices wholemeal bread.

Breakfast 2 eggs fried in fry lite. 2 tomatoes sliced & grilled 2 rashers grilled bacon trimmed of fat.
3 slics of whole meal toast 2 1/2syns

Lunch 300g boiled spud. 2 large slices ham. baby beets spring onions tomatoes little branston pickle & mustard pickle. 1syns1 pear coffee.

Dinner 4 lt choice sausages. 2 syns 300g boiled spud broccoli & cauliflower onion. 10g bisto powder 1syn
followed by fruit. Coffee & diet drinks

Evening 5 scan bran & banana 5 syns.

Total syns will be 11 1/2.

Thats the plan - lets see what happens.

WED 22ND MAY

PLANNING.

breakfast as usual eggs on toast with tomatoes bacon and 2 bread half milk allowance to can have cheese on scan bran - measure milk first thing
lunch jacket spud(s) with sweetcorn red pepper lots ground pepper spring onion & very low mayo
dinner will be lasagne with mince tin toms mush oxo red pepper corgette cooked tues & put aside till wed. Then lasagne sheets low fat nat yog and quark mixed together to put on top.

Right here goes.

Breakfast 2 eggs in frylight. 2 grilled toms 3 bread. h/eb (+ 2 1/2syns)

Lunch 300g Jacket spud with no leaf salad (1/2 syn oil) - toms sweetcorn beetroot spring onions red pepper gherkin wirh 45g xlite mayo (1 1/2 syns).
It was really tasty.

Had some scan bran with light philli cheese 5 syns & 1/2 hexa.

Dinner Lasagne - as above- not sure what to have with it - if anything. maybe chips - Yes sw chipped spuds and parsnips chipped too.
Followed by blackberries with nat yog. Lovely !!! I AM FULL :-/

Drinks either coffee from allowance or diet lemonade. milk 1/2 hexa.

I go to meetings morning session. Life gets complicated, could be either Thurs Fri or Sat.
Never have breakfast before I go, sometimes take something on Fri as goto Zumba Gold after.

I have to be weighed by a club or someone who doesn`t say "that ok your not fat" They mean well but don`t understand what it is like to be over 16stone.

Also if I did not go I would be back to OVER 20stone which I was some years ago.

The other thing which sometimes helps is I am retired and most of the timeapart from looking after grandkids sometimes on Wed & Thurs at Haverhill I have lots of timeto think about and eat food :)

I like this menu too Mandy thank you - looking forward to Lasagne. The meat & veg mix has been in fridge all night so should taste good.

THURSDAY 23RD MAY,

PLANNING. Blood test for cholesterol 9.15. Cannot eat till afterwards. :( Not weighing Thurs as builder not coming till next week now so home for breakfast.

hexa milk m.aybe half and half cheese. Worked ok yesterday

Think for a change will have mushroom omelette - bacon too if I have any and grilled toms

Lunch Don`t know. Ah I could have rice with cauliflower in it and some ham. That is usually quite filling

Dinner have taken pork chop from freezer so will have that with roasted corgette carrot & onion and a little red pepper if any left. Maybe some sweet chilli sauce on the chop. Cauli & brocolli and maybe chips but probably boiled spuds

I am organised sorting what I am going to eat. But eating too much I think. MY scales say 3 1/2lb on. Will see tomorrow. See further detail on Angwass post.

Hi NannyDoreen, here to subscribe!! I think planning is the key definitely....I sit down every Thursday and plan for meals for the week including breakfast, dinner and tea then I know where I am with healthy extras and syns etc.

Your menu looks good, keep up the good work! x

Thank you. May try organising a 3 or 4 ahead. Will let you know what the weight is after Zumba & cuppa in cafe tomorrow. Of course my `friends` will try to get me to eat cake. Feel very proud cause I always say no.:D.

B. 2 eggs in frylight 2 bacon trimmed (mostly) 2 grilled toms + xtra slice bread (2 1/2 syns)

L. Mug shot tomato & herb and 2 pears.

Snack whilst dinner cooking. 1Ryvita Dk Rye little phili light & thinlysliced tom, nice but can`t wait for dinner. (1 1/2syns)

D. 150g trimmed pork chop. 250g spud. Little swede & carrot. Cauli Brocolli. Onion gravy with 10g bisto powder (1syn) couple of pieces of fruit.

No scan bran left so not sure about evening snack. Maybe coffee & fruit. May get some ryvita when out later can use other hexa for philli lite.
As you can see above got the ryvita.

Will have 3 with phili lite & tomato later this evening (4 1/2 syns)

9 1.1/2 syns with milk left for coffee.

I've just rummaged through the stationary at work for a note book too.
I tend to work out what I can feed my husband, then try to make it a slimming world friendly for myself. He could do with losing a few pounds so I might put him on sw on the sly!!

:sigh: Stayed the same! Better than putting on but not as good as losing even 1/2lb. Because I weighed byself Thursday morning and my scales said 3 1/2 on I sat and filled my face with ryvita cheese & tomato. Don`t know how many cause did not count. How silly to do that just cause of my scales. The reason I think it showed so much is because I ate enough lasagne for 3 people.
Spoke to my manager and she suggested if I had a lot of salad or more vegetables on the plate with lasagne I may not have been able to eat it all. Anyway put a line under it, it could have been worse. You know it is making me feel less stressed about it just because I can put down here for you to read. (thank you)

DAIRY FRIDAY 24TH MAY

hexa 150ml measured so far + 30g light philli 1/2 hexa


Breakfast at club 2 large bananas. (then zumba)

Big lunch 3 bread hexb + (2 1/2syns)
2 eggs in frylight
1 Lt choice sausage (1/2 syn)
4 medium tomatoes grilled.
3 syns so far.

Sugar drop while out so had two Dextrose (1 syn)

Got home had 2 pears 2 ryvita dark rye (3syns)

Dinner - from freezer chicken stew. Lots carrots & swede chicken oxo & herbs. With thah 200g boiled spud and lots cauli and brocolli. (mmm cooking now 6.20) can`t wait.

7 syns so far now

Probably have ryvita or something before bed. We will see. OR SOMETHING???
I ended up having 7 ryvita @ 1 1/2 ea = 10 1/2 syns
TOTAL 17 1/2. OMG Doreen what are you doing!!

You should be happy with that result. Maybe it's a lesson to us all - no sneaky peeking at the scales...
I do exactly the same, if I think I've messed up anyway, I totally blow it.
We're all going to lose 2 pounds this week - it's decided x
