I know you said non-food related, but what about cooking?
Do something constructive for your dieting efforts and make a stew or curry. I make homemade curries and it takes me forever to do as I have to prepare the meat (I shop on a budget so get cheaper options that need trimming, or I buy chicken thighs and drumsticks which need to be de-skinned and de-boned), then it's cutting all the veg, etc.
To take my mind off stuff I like video games though.
