Oh hun, it's that 2nd week dip isn't it! I remember thinking: "Well, if I only lose a pound a week, why not just follow a diet with conventional food like WW or SW", because I was disappointed after being 100%.
You know what: put it behind you as a small blip, tomorrow is a new day and get back on track.

    Hi Sandy.

Do not weigh in the morning. Just focus on the goal and get back to 100% . You have had a disappointment and that has lead to a slip up. You wont be the first and you sure as hell wont be the last! Try to go easier on yourself. We are all here as your friends if you need us x

Jeez Sandy don't be so hard on yourself. These things happen. Don't weigh yourself today or weigh yourself, feel even worse, beat yourself up for 2 minutes and get back on the horse that you fell off. We all stumble at some stage with whatever we are doing. These mishaps make us stronger but only if we use them as a learning curve. You know how bad you feel, remember that feeling and it might not happen again. As Isis says, you are not the 1st and most certainly wont be the last.

Ooohhh sandy, I completely understand how you feel. I have been there.

Please make sure you don't feel so disappointed in yourself that you carry it on today. You need to try and forgive yourself. Maybe write down what led you to do it, and what you will do next to avoid it next time. The main thing is not to beat yourself up, and accept what you have done. The damage won't be that bad as long as you nip it in the bud now.

Good luck and stay strong xxx

Awwww Sandy, we have all had a blip after a disappointment at one time or another. Do not weigh yourself this morning, any weight gain will not be fat, it will just be water and glycogen and will be gone by the end of today if u stick 100% to the diet. Focus on why you are doing this and do not worry, we are all human and all make mistakes!! Its not the end of the world - u have still done really well!!!

I know its hard but you must try and stay POSITIVE.

    :)

Yes it is hard, but a loss (hold something in your hand that weighs a pound) is a loss and every pound counts. Do not give up - yes you have slipped, but it is only a slip - you have not failed unless you give up. Take the lesson and move on. Be good to yourself, beating yourself up will not help - trust me.

    Thanks everyone. X
Today ive spent most of the day in bed feeling upset and ill.
Keep feeling so sad about how my life revolves around what I weigh. Have a wardrobe full of size ten clothes that I can't wear.

Think I ate because I got upset as I was on my own and my boyfriend was out with all our friends at a world cup party thing.I wouldn't go as I'm too embarrassed about how I look.have avoided all social stuff for six months now.

Its very sad isn't it...... xxx

Yes it is sad, but eating does not cure anything, it is like putting a sticking plaster on a broken leg. You need to believe in yourself and keep telling yourself that you CAN do it, stop being sad and start being positive. Am sending you some of my positive vibes :vibes: use them well xx

I think we all have those moments Sandy. I even have to brace myself to go in ASDA at times lol...Being 6ft2 and sizeable, I stand out. There are times I can walk around with my head held high and not worry. I walked around a Mind, Body and Spirit fair today dressed in a bright pink george summer dress, with a purple vest underneath and a pink shrug. I told myself I am in control of my diet, I will be slim, I do not care what others think.....and got loads of compliments!lol

People often don't notice us, if an open smile and a confident manner walks in before our tummy lol

Sandy, you are doing so well and will continue to. The only thing that can stop you is you. So give yourself a hard talking to about why you started this and get back on it chick. You will feel worse than last night in a few weeks time if you give up. I have been there too many times to count. Then I put what I have lost back on....and some! I am now a weight I swore I would never be. Get rid of it while you still are not huge chick. Your journey wont be that long if you go 100% from now on x

We are all here for you :)

    Hi,

Glad I found this post!! Made me feel better. I am following slimming world and had a really bad day. The kids left some flumps (marshmallow things) lying around. Ooops, Mummy ate about 10, felt really bad and confessed to my husband! He said well how many syns is this. OMG they are 2 syns each so I scoffed 20 syns in like 5 minutes. I felt bad for a few days, but hey we all reach breaking point. I wish I had eat something more worth while for 20 syns! This post made me feel human and not a complete failure. Hope I have not gained or maintained on weigh in tomorrow....if I have its all down to flumps!! How sad!!

    Thanks Calligas x

Sandy. There are times I feel like this and then I remember we are only here once. (that we can rememeber lol) so we may as well make the most of it. That doesnt mean going out and feeding our faces (which in most cases we are all guilty of) but it is making the most of what we have! You may well be bigger than you want to be, but PLEASE dont let that stop you enjoying yourself in the meantime. We have to accept who we are, in order to be able to get to the point where we want to be. Being overweight is not a quality, its a quantity (sorry, couldnt resist the joke) people wont be disapointed that you are there and have put on some weight, but they will be dissapointed that you are not there. Anyway.....how can you make your grand entrance as a skinny minny if no one sees you fat (",)

i know it makes it sound like i am making light of ther situation, but i know exactly how you feel. i didnt go out much when i was at my biggest (20 stone). but when i did, i made sure i enjoyed myself. when i showed my friends my fat photos, they said "i really dont remember you being that big"....this is because your friends will see you for who you are, the person inside, not the outside.

Try not to lose yourself on your journey to finding your slim body.

    good luck xxxxx

    Hi Angel
I'm sending you a big hug because I think you really need it.
You know why you ate, I can only guess. You were completely peed off because you only lost 1lb, you thought what's the point, you were on your own, you were sad, you were happy, you were angry. There are so many reasons why we eat, most of which have very little to do with physical hunger & providing your body with the right nutrients. If you can understand why it may help you in the future; however do not beat yourself up about this.
Treat yourself kindly with the same understanding you would treat one of us. You have had a blip, but you haven't failed unless you give up.
Tomorrow is another day, so pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and join us :)
