New and confused

    I don't know if I am a little premature in posting here but I've decided I want to do the Cambridge diet and I am committed to sorting it all out. However I have a few questions and niggles i hope some of you could help with?

    A little about me.. I'm 23, 5'7" and about 15 and half stone. size 16/18.

    I've looked at the cambridge diet website and have noted the numbers of a few councilors to contact. This is probably my first question.. What shall I expect from this person? Will they want to meet straight away?

    Also, something I can find very little information on is the cost of the diet. How much can I expect to pay in all per week? No one seems to just want to come out with a figure, and I think I could afford £30-40 a week. Would this be enough?

    Money issues aside, what can i expect from the first week? My main concern is I have a very active job, and can't afford to be all faint and tired all day. Do the supplement packs keep your energy up sufficiently? Will i get string cravings to begin with? I'm a bit of a compulsive eater so i thought this diet could work because it takes food out of the equation all together. If theres no food in teh fridge to play on my mind..

    i do have other questions but I don't want to bore you all to death with a HUGE post as my first post!!

    Any advice/information would be greatfully received :D

    Hi Chomp and welcome!

    I'll try to answer at least some of your questions. I pay £37 a week for three packs a day. Trouble is CDCs can charge whatever they like so check before you decide which one to go for.

    CDCs are all different and provide different levels of support so all I can advise is find someone you gel with. You can get extra support here - it is a great site.

    I'm not sure about your job TBH - I have an office job. The advice for exercise is not to do any EXTRA strenuous exercise in the first few weeks. That said if you do struggle maybe you could do one of the higher plans to start with (SS+ with 4 packs and milk if you really want food out of the equation for a while). This will put the cost up, though. Or if you follow a low carb diet the week before you should get into ketosis quicker which should give you the loads of energy feeling.

    Hopefully a few others will have more advice but good luck.

    Hiya, I am on my second week and so far so good, I feel fine, aside from some tiredness in the first few days I am great!
    I have a very active job too, one which requires me to be happy, smiley and chirpy, and I have managed fine. I have even been my normal self at home too, not felt irritable or anything.
    I am an 'all or nothing' person, I have done 'all' regarding food for long enough to take me to a size 22, so decided teh only way to go down is to try the 'nothing' approach, and I am really not missing food at all. I am able to prepare other people's food, watch others eat, go to the supermarket etc all without a wobble.
    I hope it can continue lol!
