new calorie counter!

hi all new to calorie counting but not minimins. i was on the ultraslim (same as slimfast) but gave up as i wasnt sticking to it i was skipping the ultraslim and meals alltogether. thinking it would be ok when i weighed myself i hadnt had a single pound loss.
so ive decided calorie counting or just eating healthy could be more of a realistic longterm diet plan, i dont have many calories threw the day anyway. but what i dont eat threw the day i definatly make up for at teatime.
as for exercising ive discovered the kinect on xbox and really enjoying dance centrel & kincect adventures, they dont half get you sweating and you dont even realise your exercising its just so much fun.

if your stuggling to have calories through the day.. eat little but often or have some healthy smoothies and then you may feel less likely to eat so many calories later in the day.

I don't have an Xbox but I use my Wii.. I have the zumba game which I keep attempting and yes you don't feel like your exercising at the time until you stop and feel how knackered and hot you are lol.

sometimes i dont understand why im so heavy as i just dont feel that hungary, today for instance all ive had is a bowl of wheatabix (about 12 o'clock) roughly about 160 cals and 1 & 1/2 litres of water, i still have 2 box's of the ultraslim so i think i might get one in about 3ish
im considering buying either the ufc trainer or the zumba one, but i like the fact with the other games i dont feel like im exercising but when when i woke up the next morning after my first go, jeezeee i felt it lol.
when did you start your weight loss and how much have you lost so far xx
If your not eating the minimum calories (less than 1200 cals) per day then maybe your body is storing fat as your in a kind of starvation mode.. your body doesn't know when it is next getting cals so it stores fat just in case. I'm learning the hard way as I normally used to eat less than that due to being a vegetarian who doesn't eat junk food regularly and don't eat sweets or chocolate.. now I'm loosing weight because I try to stay between 1200 and 1500 cals which is less than my body uses everyday but still enough so my body knows it's still got calories it can use to fuel me.

If you don't eat enough can it cause stalled weight loss or weight gain

I'm rather new to calorie counting but started before joining minimins a month ago and have lost 10lb but so far haven't been exercising enough so changing that today :)

I think with me, I didn't eat much during the day either, but at night my dinner portion would be waaay too big. And mostly unhealthy too. Like a whole load of some pasta dish covered in cheese. Or a take away or something high in calories. And also at night I snacked a lot. Still do to be fair. I just choose lower calorie snacks now lol

wow 10lbs in a month thats over 2 lbs a week. you must be so proud. i would love to lose that for xmas and get down to 13st where i was in 2007, i know i should be eating but i didnt have that shake at 3, i just had a hundred calorie snack in stead. im just not hungary at all. i think im going to have to start forcing myself.

and bostik you sould exactly like me. my portian sizes were massive and cheese went with anything and everything!

I have to agree, I used to try to eat as little as possible during the week to compensate for the take aways/dining out/wine at the weekend, everything I lost during the week went straight back on at the weekend plus more.
