New, confused and searching

Dieting is about making small changes. Maybe try counselling to try and tackle why you are an emotional eater. If you have access to the internet there is no reason to be bored!! For a start there is so much to read on here! But instead of coming up with all the things stopping you from ever having a healthier lifestyle, start setting yourself little goals. If one square of chocolate is not enough, don't buy the bar.
Little steps will add up over time.
 
Do you know, reading your food diary, I really think you are going to do this! The fact that you have started recording what you eat and the the willpower not to have that chocolate bar -- both amazing and great first steps. Doing the healthy thing more often than not, will eventually tip the balance in your favour.
