I had a blood test recently for some pelvic pain I've been getting as I was getting the blood tests done I asked to be tested for PCOS and had the results back today. Looks like I have it which is kinda relief as had all the symptoms since I was a teenager which have caused a lot of upset at times (mainly the hair and weight gain)
It's nice to possibly put a name to something like why i seem to be able to put on weight so quickly and why I get so down sometimes
The doctor said my hormone levels were in the lower range but this could be because I was tested later in my cycle (well its been a while since my last period but have no idea where I actually am in the cycle) and will be retested once my next period is!!?? It was slightly disturbing to see HI in red capitols next to the words testosterone levels on the dr's computer screen ( i think i lost a little bit of my femininity right there!)
I was just wondering what happens next will I get refereed to a specialist??
Has anyone else had pelvic pain with PCOS dr said he didn't think they were connected.
