New diary of an old dieter (well older!!)

#1
Hi. It's day one of many re-starts and i'm feeling really scared in case i fail again but really excited cos i'm doing something about it. I've been going to go back for weeks but have found every excuse not to. Today i actually really want to. I've done SW and every other diet many times but never managed to lose more than the odd stone. Totally my fault not the diets. No excuses there.
Bit about me: I'm 52 married with 3 kids and 3 gorgeous grandkids. I'm off work on long time sick after an op and have become a proper couch potato. I've lost all confidence, dont want to socialise or even go out if i dont have to. I want to get the real me back. I miss her!! Ideally i'd like to lose 4 stone but i'm gonna break it down into smaller goals and take it a day at a time.
I've been reading on here that keeping a diary is a great way to stay motivated so i thought i'd give it a go starting on day one. Sure it will really help even if it's just for myself and noboby else reads it but i would also be very grateful for any advice support and kicks up the bum when needed. Here goes!!

Welcome back to SW Will, glad you've had a good day today. Get your shopping in tomorrow and it will be easier. I joined SW at the end of July and have lost 15lb. I really really feel much better physically and mentally. I didn't think I would stick to a diet but I am really impressed with SW so far. Lots of fruit - stops you craving all the bad sweet things.

Will be good to hear how you get on next week - small goals is definitely the way to go.

Good luck for tomorrow
xx

Thanks. Had a good day today. Just made the Chicken Korma with coconut mullerlight for tea. So scrummy and easy to make. Got lots of fruit like you said to snack on. Well done on your loss. Bet you're feeling and looking fab x

3 x 100% days is amazing - hope you have many more. Lots of fruit & veg in your diet so you must have lost a few lbs. Need to go shopping for some more fruit now but its so nice, I just want to sit in the garden. The chicken korma sounds nice, I would never have thought of having the coconut mullerlight with it!! Made mexican veggie burgers last night from the last SW mag - very easy and very tasty.
