Hi all,

I've decided to start Slimfast on monday (so I'll have the weekend to buy all my supplies) I lost about half a stone on Slimfast a couple of years ago but then I fell pregnant so enjoyed eating for two. My baby is now 18 months so I can't use the excuse of baby weight anymore so I'm going to give it a go again and hopefully lose alot more this time.

I've got just over 2 stone to lose so I know it will take a while.

I remember the first few days being hell last time and was wondering if anyone had any tips to help me through.

Drink lots of water. When I first started it was for the same reason. My daughter was 18 months old and I had run out of excuses not to lose the weigh! I am now at the first goal weight I set myself. It can be done and I agree the first few days/weeks are the hardest but it is just getting into a routine.

I've a lot to lose too. As well as the water, if you get really ravenous and are seriously likely to be found face down in a bag of doughnuts clean your teeth. I find that helps no end.

Thanks for the replies, I'm all set for monday I've been to morrisons and bought 15 shakes and then sent my mum for 15 more so I've got a fortnights worth. I'm really motivated I wanted to start today but I'm going on a picnic with the kids tomorrow and want to join in. I'm not sure how I'm going to cope with toddler group though as we always have toast and biscuits I might have to take a punnet of grapes cos no doubt if I just take a small portion for me all the kids will pinch them!
Going to have a look at the june challenge now.

Well today was my first day and I've not done as well as I'd hoped
Breakfast - Shake
Snack - Toast at toddler group (forgot my grapes I need to be more organised) :sign0007:
Lunch - shake
Snack - nothing
Tea - sweet potato with salad followed by small biscuit

I've also drank so much coffee to starve of hunger pangs but I wasn't really that hungry by tea time. Not sure of how many calories I've had but it's definatley alot less than normal.

hey Karen, you sound as though the first day went well. I have a 15month old son and have found slim fast a god send. I'm getting near my goal weight and may change it to lose more as I really enjoy sf, even though lately I have'nt been very good oops! Back on track now and excited to see how you get on in your first week xx

I'm sure you were well within your allowance despite having toast. Sounds like you are motivated and determined and thats half the battle.
