New to CD and new to dieting -Day 2

:welcome: to minimins and best of luck with cd. Your doing brill you should be in ketosis very soon :) im restarting cd tomorrow. the shakes are really nice for a diet product arnt they!?

good luck hun im restartin monday stick with it first 3 or 4 days are the worst then it does get better ...it does work xx

Keep going hun nearly in ketosis things get easier from then .You will still have your moments but find ways to distract yourself pamper yourself with some nice bathroom products play in the arcade or find a new hobbie I took up knitting scarfs :eek: and made myself a cook book of all the foods I would eat at goal :D

Day 6 for me!!! I'm so shocked at how easy this diet is to stick to!
I'm not sure if its the actual diet, because I'm not as hungry as i thought.
I'm also in a completely different mind set to what i've ever been before, the thought of cheating just makes me see more calories i've got to lose! The penny has finally dropped!!! x

for me personaly i dont like the shakes, i have to gulp them down in one go then i shudder at the end lol, yuk, but hey the results are brilliant so i dont care!

Hiya,

I'm on day 5, if you can keep going until ketosis kicks in the feelings great.
Before this week I couldn't last past 9 pm and was constantly tired and irritable because of it.
As soon as ketosis kicked in I felt great, I have more energy not as moody and can watch all those programes I usually missed because I couldnt stay up that late! I'm only 21 as well!

When you get into it you'll also enjoy the great feeling when you stay dedicated. I went out for drinks last night and had nothing but water. Everyone was expecting me to fail and go for my usual pint of Guinness so when I didnt it actually felt like i'd proved something!

Hi Melly I am also on Day 2 (re-starting for the 100th time since September!) This forum is full of fantastic people which combined with CD is great. For some it seems plain sailing for others (like me) it is ups and downs, self analysis etc. But if you stick to it the results are amazing.

I mix them in my 'bullet' blender with ice if I'm having it cold, it goes a lil bit further, but any sealed container will do for you to shake it. I have the chocolate shakes and cappuccino hot in the evening, it seems to feel me up more.

How are you girlies mixing the shakes? I start on monday :)

i use to use my electric whisk, then pour it through a tea strainer but got fed up of getting the whisk out, so i bought a protein drinks mixer from ebay for £1.50!
you put in the water, then add the shake, put on the mesh thing and the lid and shake, done! then i still pour it through a tea strainer ( mini sift) into a glass to make sure theres no lumps in it yuk, cant do lumps!!:9529:

That is such a good idea - why didn't I think of that!?! The lumps in my shakes are making me almost puke and using a tea strainer would solve the problem immediately!?! Sometimes I wonder if I have any brain cells quite frankly!?!

Thanks for the useful information. I'm still going found day 3 tough. Today I feel alot better. I have my weigh-in tomorrow so I'l see how I go.
Out of the shakes I love the strawberry and Cappuccino. Not a fan of the chocolate, toffee and walnut.
Tried the soups chicken and mushroom- I threw-up after could not drink it. The spicy tomato, I took 1 sip and nearly threw up. I'm not sure if i blended it right because I feel the bits in the soup.

Any suggestions??
