new to primal/paleo diet

Just wanted to introduce my self i started the year on a vlcd diet and did 10 days before i went out had a night out drinking because ive been having loads of bf problems. So still wanting to lose weight and be healthy i hsve decided to start the paleo way of life. I started on monday and so far im loving this way of eating im not hungry or binging or feeling bloated with bad wind. Im not supposed to eat gluten as makes me ill with having the runs, swelled stomach and 7 hours of painful stomach and wind thats so foul. So far ive had none of this and my skin feels so soft almost straight away. Im hoping that my hypothyroidism will improve as at my recent check my medication needed increasing. Well im determined to heal my body from the inside and have my medication lowered and hooefully at some point in the future have it discontinued. Oh and 2 stone id like to lose im in no major hurry a few pounds a week would be great.

Anyway any help or tips would be appreciated.
