New Year... New Start - onwards and downwards.

Caz, at school we always count down to the holidays, half terms etc (we actually count the "get ups" - days we have to get up and go to school - so weekends aren't counted - we have 30 get ups to summer holidays.)

Not too many then!

I break up later than you though :(

Just catching up Caz..and have missed all the excitement!..SO pleased and happy for you both, flat looks fab hun and I am a believer in if it feels right...do it! :) so, don't be worrying about the big step, you have been discussing it for ages, it isn't a spur of the moment!..you will love it..lots of love, time for each other and compromises!!!...everything will work out well :)

Back in the day ;)....first hubby and I didn't live together until we married!!!!...so it was whole big learning experience, there were wee teething problems and compromising..and getting used to wee habits that at first annoy you...but in time, everything works out just fine and you both find the happy level where you can still be individuals..but in a loving couple way!!! :)

Good luck... I am excited for you :)

p.s.,,your new kitchen is an almost complete copy of the kitchen and layout of our previous house..even the window is the same size in the same place above the sink and the units were fixed in the exact same places and same style..how bizarre!.. and we had woodland outside the window to look at!..I loved that kitchen...I miss that house sometimes!

I am looking forward to living with Aaron really, I just had a nervous day where all the change seemed quite daunting. It's having him and knowing I'll be living with him that makes it all more bearable though if I'm honest.

That is bizarre Rose! What a strange coincidence.

My day was ok thanks Trisha, been sorting out some assessment stuff. We have SATs next week and then phonics check the week after so it's been lots of sorting and not much planning or marking, oops!

Back on track today, decided I just have to be. I had a banana for breakfast, fruit for morning snack, mug shot for lunch, graze and fruit for afternoon snack and then sausages and Mediterranean rice for tea with fruit salad after. Lots of fruit! Need to start introducing more veg and less fruit though I think, keep sugars lower.

Sounds like a good plan --foodwise.

Heading up to Manchester now to pop in to school so I can take in all my forms and ID, I'm hoping to see the classroom that will be mine too. Then at a wedding this evening, BBQ at Aaron's tomorrow and that's about it really. What has everyone else got planned?

Oh and here are a few more photos of the flat, small bedroom but it's big enough as we'll only use it for sleeping now. Won't be a place where we spend most of the weekend!

Looks lovely! Ours is a similar size but you get used to it - it's cosy in winter :)

Looks lovely Caz, and weekend sounds good too.

Tomorrow I'm going looking for shoes/hat for nieces wedding in 2 weeks, then on Sunday DD is with us for the day, can't wait to see her, we are hoping to be able to show her the new house.

Sounds a lovely weekend planned.

Photos look great :)

Happy Weekend, Caz!

I hope it goes well.

Thanks ladies, that sounds like a nice weekend Trisha, hope it all goes well.

Despite what you all seem to think of us we won't be in the bedroom all weekend!! At the moment it's where we watch TV, sleep, chat, everything but eat really and so it can get a bit claustrophobic. It's better now that I have a little sofa in my room, at least we're not sat on the bed all the time. Just really looking forward to having a whole place to be able to use and not worry about anyone else or getting in anyone's way. It'll be nice at the weekend's too, Aaron sleeps later than I do and I end up just going on his PC atm but once we're in out place I could go on MY PC, do school stuff and marking, watch TV, sort myself breakfast, anything really. Will be great!

Wedding last night was a bit of a dud. We arrived just as she was walking out of the hall and she was like 'Oh hi, I'll be back in just a minute' and rushed off down the road. Half an hour later there was no sign of her and we were stood in the corner with our drinks feeling awkward as we knew no-one else so we decided to come home! She didn't have a traditional wedding dress either which disappointed me, I was looking forward to seeing it! It's gorgeous weather again here today so I think we're going to go for a drive, find somewhere nice and sit in a beer garden or something before BBQ this evening.
