Newbie checking in

Hi all, kept coming across this site when checking for calories in such and such a food so today I've decided to join you.

Really don't know what I should be writing here so excuse me if jumbled

Weight since having kids was always 11 stone which at 5ft7 was ok. When I quit smoking the weight (7 stone) just piled on, not had much luck getting it off and I get disheartened too easily. I recently did 2 weeks of 600-900 calories a day and only lost 2lbs which really depressed me so back up to 1400-1600 calories and regained the 2lbs!

I've now decided that although very slow 2lbs was at least a start so have been back at low calorie since Sunday. I know I have a long hard slog ahead of me and think joining you all will help keep me motivated...

Hi Cat and welcome

I'm on low calorie too and prepared for the long slog and wish you well.

I've put 'WeMITT' labels in all my danger spots. On my fridge, on my computer screen at my desk and even on my purse [so I can't buy snacks]. In my first week but feel really motivated and I'm sure you will too.

I don't have to put WeMITT labels anywhere, I just need to pass a mirror, any other reflective surface and my wardrobe to know I mean it this time. I have to, after seeing an off guard photo my son took I realise what a total embarrassment I must be to my kids. :cry:
