newbie needs help

    hi all

    ive been doing ww since 29 april and so far have gained nearly a stone:cry: i really cant get my head round things

    if i eat some thing with high points i feel ive blown it when really i havent. ive got no motivation or willpower at the moment so am at a loss.

    ive also joined sw this week but cant do that either.

    any one got any tips to help me please

    Hi Jenny, I'm fairly new too, so my advice is limited.
    I find it helpful to keep a food diary on here. I feel like if someone reads what I'm eating I try harder to eat more healthily. I don't want to show myself up eating loads of crap.
    I plan what I'm going to eat, shop for the week ahead for my menu plan and stick to it, I don't plan what to eat day by day, mainly go on the sell by dates and what I fancy.
    Keep stocked up with low fat snacks if you're a snacky person. Nothing worse than having a snack attack and having nothing but high cal foods in the house!
    I also find it helps if I drink lots of water.
    I find it impossible to lose weight if I eat too much bread, I avoid it at breakfast then allow myself 2 slices at lunch. If I have toast for breaky, I avoid it at lunch.
    My suggestion would be keeping a food diary on here, be completely honest, other members can read it and see if you're going wrong somewhere and help you beat this.

    hi there i went to weightwatchers a few years ago and lost nine stone but at first i found i fell into the trap of thinking id blown it if i ate high pts value foods but the tricks is to just be aware of it and not overdo it on portion size.i also used to mess it up one day and then not bother on the plan for the rest of the week sometimes resulting in a weight gain but on the weeks where i over ate one day and was very good the rest of the week i usually lost weight so dont beat yourself up when you slip because none of us are perfect and everybody makes mistakes but if we get straight back onto it we can get back on the points plan myself now and it seems to be going well,because i put some weight back on so i have about six stone to lose that will put me at 12stone and i will be really happy with that im not sure how you dop it on this site but if you can request me as a buddy then maybe we can help eachother :D
