Hi everyone. This is my first day of being on the Lipotrim programme, which i must say wasnt too bad. Hoping to get lots of support, tips and advice from all you budding dieters. Not sure how im going to feel by the end of the week, but come what may, i aim to lose this weight.

The Inspirational slide show sure lives up to its name, and has given me the motivation i need to keep going and keep focused. Thank you guys for sharing your pictures.:)

How long will it take for me to lose about 5 stone if i stick to it? I really want to feel good by christmas, and does the bad breath stay with you for the duration of the diet?

Hi and welcome to the diet and forum! You are supposed to lose a stone a month. Unfortunately the bad breath remains as it is a by-product of burning fat. However I found that having listerine breath strips helps.
Hi and welcome. The more water you drink, the more ketones you pee out instead of breathing out. If you aim to drink 4-5 litres a day, you should find you dont get the bad breath.

Hi thank you for the welcome. Two days in and still going strong, i think ill do alright on this diet. I must say though, i do find it hard having to cook for my husband and 2 boys, aged 3 and 1. It is just so tempting to pick a little. Think im going to have to stuff my nostrils with cotton wool to block out the smells lol.

It must be hard having to cook so the cotton wool (or a clothes peg) sounds like a good plan! Whenever you are feeling tempted, just remind yourself of what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how you are going to feel *so* good about yourself and so proud when you achieve it!

I'll echo what DD says.. I always feel a tiny bit proud of myself everyday when I cook tea for my kids and boyfriend and I don't have any.
I especially think at weigh in day 'ooh I'm glad now I didn't have that pizza/burger/pasta/'
Especially this week, for some reason I've felt a bit bored and wanted to taste stuff but I refrained and I lose 1lb than normal ha!
I just go up to my bedroom and read if it gets too much, however I've spent a fortune on magazines :eek::rolleyes::eek:

Lol, Nicola! Me too!! I've got every gardening and workout magazine there is out at the moment! (can't stand gossip ones!) I've even got subscriptions to a few! Should start buying books instead, lol!

Anyway F2F welcome to the forum and good luck with losing those 5st, if you stick to it, I'm sure you'll soon get there. I also struggle with cooking for my dh, but as Nicola said, I feel proud when I manage not to pick, even when I bake him cakes!

ha ha thanks :) I was actually online for a couple of hours the other night looking for mags I wanted to subscribe to and subscribed to about 6 :p i justify it by saying its cheaper when you subscribe - or you get a free gift. God I'm such a sucker for anything 'free' even when I understand it isn't really 'free' :eek::eek::eek:
LOL!!! I know exactly what you mean, I got some of the 3 for £1 offers and that. Are you a member of moneysavingexpert? There's a thread on deals on magazines, plus I got some subscriptions with tesco points, so thats truly free! ;)

Damn, it sounds like I've missed a bargain now - I do go on MSE but sporadically when I have money problems i.e complete lack of because I've spent it all on magazines ha ha!
Just want to say hi to everyone who has joined since I have not been about for a week or so!! It was really quiet on here for a while and now it seems to have jumped into life again!!

Thanks for the replys everyone. This is my 3rd day and i am really pleased with myself. I love my food, and usually find it hard not to eat it. I am someone who dosent like to throw any food away, and even if im full will try to squeeze it in somehow, so this is a real achievement for me. Wow! I cant wait until my clothes begin to get looser on me. :)
