Hiya have been a SW member for a long time now initially lost 21lb but standing at the min at 10lbs, am so fed up fighting the battle and really don't want to be like this anymore. I weigh over 18st and have just turned 50, I vowed I wouldn't be like this for my 50th but think it was too much pressure. I have hubbies 50th in October and we're going to Cyprus for the first time and would love to look half decent. I don't want to put pressure on and say I want to lose xx amount per week or be xx weight before I go a nice steady loss would do.

Looking forward to hearing from you and any ideas.

Off to try and get the hang of this so bear with me

Hello welcome.

Sw works and is good but only as far as you let it and go for it.

Maybe post some of the reasons and stumbling blocks and us lovely lot could maybe make some suggestions that can help you with them ?

I started SW this week with more to lose than you. We can defo do this :) my mother lives in Cyprus and my bf is Greek Cypriot it's a wonderful island ur going to love it xxx
 
Having a lovely holiday to keep you motivated will go a long way. I think it's a good idea to take away the time pressure because we can't always dictate how quickly our bodies will release the weight. I think SW is great. I think portion control is very important too. I'm not suggesting you are eating too much (eek) but I know I have to be quite careful not to overeat on 'free' food :)
