Hi everyone :wave_cry:

Went to a family planning clinic last tuesday for my smear and they done a full health check, told me I'd high blood pressure and :sigh: overweight (17st 8lb) (Tell me something I dont know!). Anyways, I think the fact she told me my bp was high gave me the wake up call I really needed. I immediately cut down and started exercising more too. (swimming & walking).

I went to my own doctors today and told them about the high blood pressure and she checked it, weighed me (17st 3lb) and said that she would say its down to my weight, and as I’m only 5’3 my BMI was too high and she prescribed me Xenical.

Reading the side effects is enough to scare anyone! Was actually debating whether to start them but just thought I might as well give them a go.

My problem is I’m not a huge fan of vegetables at all, so I tend to find it hard to find things to eat. I'm ok at breakfast & lunch, 1 slice of wholemeal for brekkie and 2 for lunch, its when it comes to dinner that kills me to find something. For lunch I like to have a pkt of snack-a-jacks or something, do you think they'd be ok on Xenical??

I’ve dieted on & off in the past never really sticking to it. This time I think I got the wake up call I needed.

I’m back to the docs in 3 weeks. And I think she is going to have me back once a month to check up on me.

Welcome and yes Snack A Jacks are ok, I have the caramel ones myself. I also dont eat alot of vegs but I went shopping on Friday and found loads of stuff I could eat. You can check out my thread called Went Shopping Today, I listed most of the stuff I bought.
Jacket Potatos, Korma, Pastas Sauce, Bagels, Cream Cheese etc
