I'd say Ryan Air, Easy Jet, FlyBmi, FlyBe, Jet2 for starters ---- all depends where you're flying from and to.

I'm definitely up for an overseas trip - will go anywhere but got to admit my first love is Amsterdam, love the place.

Any more ideas?

I'd prefer a beach resort, so I can wear a bikini. Couldn't see me walking around Bruges or Paris in a bikini lol. No seriously anywhere for me but would like somewhere nice and warm.

CARDIFF! WOOP!

I've just PM'ed Shazpaz (she's our lovely travel agent :D) and asked her advice. Don't know how to copy and paste it on here so I'll type it myself lol!

"It all depends on the time of year. It's all about budget airlines and getting a great price for the flights. BMI Baby sometimes has free flights to Belfast. Easyjet do good deals to Amsterdam and Malaga in the Costa Del Sol.

.....travelsupermarket.com is fantastic for flights as its a price comparison site. I can always get accomodation in resorts at good rates, but its the flight prices and they can differ from one day to the next. I'll have a think and see if I can think of anywhere that I think will be good value."

(CARDIFF!!)

Hi guys,

I've just read though the thread and I agree with Katie....she's named all the low cost airlines.....they are definitely the way to go. If you are trying to get the best deal, its impossible to know so far in advance where the cheapest flights will be and who with, but I think Katie is spot on. I'm not sure who out of you guys is co-ordinating it, but if I was you I'd base your trip round a cheap flight. Like I said to Mrs Depp....travelsupermarket.com is a good place to start. They are a price comparison site and are fab.....my company would add money on top of this price as their commission so if I was you I'd go to the airline direct (I'm the worst travel agent in the world...........I'm too honest LOL). Once you decide I can always take a look at accommodation prices for you as I have access to lots of accommodation only specialists and transfer specialists (and we don't add anything on with these...but get a discount:D). Good luck guys.....and have a FANTASTIC TIME!!xx

A couple of the places I have been to on the list.

I went with my gal friends from work...Barcelona is fabulous for shopping and site seeing but not so hot on bars and clubs...Benidorm does what it says on the tin...cheap yet really fun. Loadsa night clubs and pubs with free entertainment, cheap and cheerful shops and markets but a heavily populated beach.

I loved Hamburg in Germany...me and D/P flew over from Manchester for £1 return with Air Berlin (even a meal was thrown in for a quid lol). Hamburg is a lovely city with lots of pubs and shopping areas...and a gorgeous lakey thing that runs around it.

Where I live in Hull, we have ferries that go across to Netherlands and Belgium. They are usually buy one get one free (about £60 p.p) and you spend two nights on the boat and a full day trolloping around the city of your choice (Amsterdam or Zebrugge (Belguim).

Anyone got preferences on time of year?
