No onions?

Onions do contain small amounts of carbs so they're not advised on a ketogenic VLCD (or, indeed, a normal ketogenic diet!) as they can tip you out of ketosis if you're carb sensitive.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - I'd love some onions too!
 
If u cook onions down they caramelise because of the sugar in them, other vegetables don't hav as much sugar in... Maybe something to look forward to in the future x
 
i was just about to say about the sugar / caramelisation thing. you can have leeks and spring onions, though.
 
Thanks guys...bit disappointed but hey ho! Can you really have spring onions? They are not on my list?

i'm sure they're in the booklet, but maybe it's only for 810.:eek:

Ohh when I was little my dad used to make me chive sandwiches! Or sometimes just a bowl of chopped chives with salt and vinegar!
hmm well I am planning on starting to have a little food again for Easter - I shall plan on chives then!
