Oh my goddness, my motivation in the past few weeks has been terrible. I am snacking on sugary crap even when I am not hungry. And when I am following plan to the letter I am eating really stupidly massive portions and eating almost constantly even though again I am NOT hungry. I am fed up of this and am going to try and stop this stupid behavior.

I woke up this morning with amazing intentions and then the second I went into my kitchen i ate a slice of christmas cake, a handful of licourice allsorts and then when I got to work I ate two biscuits. I am out of control and don't even know why.

I am cooking good slimming world meals it is just the rest of the time I am a maniac!

Help please!

Is there anyway you can rid the house of the sugary snacks???
Dieting is total a head thing and your heads not in the right place - if it was you wouldn't be eating the cake etc.

so try to remember why you wanted to loose weight in the first place. or write a list of what you will gain if you loose weight and if need be stick of copy of it on the fridge on the biscuit tin etc.

Only you can do this. How much do you want this???

Focus on the goal ahead and we will be right by your side during the journey!

My guess is right now you feel out of control & you want to regain that.

If you can, move the Christmas cake etc out of sight & I pretend it's not there. Also try & work out how many syns you have had since last WI & deduct this amount from 105. Ok so you may have eaten far more than 105, but don't worry you are making yourself aware & not hiding that you've gone over. Or if you've had less than 105 happy days, then work out how many syns you have left until next WI.

Next get yourself low syn treats, just for you, maybe those pink n whites (2.5 syns each I think) or curly wurly, meringue nest, these can be just for you, make sure the whole household knows they are yours.

We've all got tough times ahead with Chistmas, it's not going to be easy but will all the support on here it's going to be easier.

If I'm having a hard time with the plan then I do my best to remove all temptation from the house. I have a massive sweet tooth and last weekend I had to give all my chocolate to my mum to hold on to for me because swear if it had been with me over night I would have eaten it! Could you try doing this at home?

I am the same at the moment, anything I can stuff in I am doing so. And like you I don't even know why, if i haven't got it in the house I go to the shop and buy it. My only reasoning is that Im spending time looking after every one else I haven't got time to plan (my family infested with flu) and when I do have a good day it's almost like being defiant and sticking two fingers up to...... Who.... I don't know. It's just working out what works to get us back on track but you are not alone c

Firstly, you have more motivation than you think. After all, you've come on here asking for help!!

Secondly - the plan. Make a big pan of soup. Not the speed soup - just a light superfree veg/carrot/red pepper etc soup. Everytime you go into the kitchen to get yourself something to eat, have a mug of the soup. Before you start cooking tea - grab a drink, then a mug of soup, then your tea. That way, even if you feel like you are eating too much for your meals - you've increased your superfree and also you'll probably start to eat less.

Thirdly - Split your main meal onto two plates (I know it's a bit of a faff, but you won't be doing this forever - just till you get your mojo back). Have a drink, have some soup and have one plate. Give yourself half an hour after you've eaten before you go back for your second plate. Follow the guide as above - another drink, another mug of soup, then your second plate.

Make sure that whatever you are having for your main meal can be reheated the next day (otherwise you fall into my trap of 'Well if I don't eat it now, it'll be wasted because I can't reheat it for tomorrow'). That way, if you find that you've had enough, you can save the second half for the next day (lunch sorted!!).
