Nutritional value

I currently have flu and tonsillitis everyone is saying that its because my immune system is low because I'm doing 'a fad diet' there words not mine but am I right in thinking that in actual fact the nutritional value will actually be better than the junk food diet I was eating before?

That's what I tell people. Surely what I'm doing now is better than my diet before which consisted of only chocolate cheese and take aways! Hope you feel better soon! X
