Last year I applied to the Olympic Games committee to work as a volunteer at both lots of Olympics, in fact I feel more passionate about the Para Olympics.
I had heard nothing until today, when I received this............
We’re giving successful applicants three to five weeks’ notice of their selection event, so don’t worry if you haven’t had an invitation yet – we haven’t forgotten you! We need to interview 100,000 people in our search for the right Games Makers – that’s going to take a long time, so we’ll still be interviewing applicants in March 2012.
They will keep in touch over the next few weeks.
I am so excited. I do hope I get selected. I have volunteered to work in the Equestrian Events and with my knowledge of Spanish I am hoping I will get my dream.
My age does not seem to be a problem quite the opposite in fact. I will be 69 years old by then but have so much to offer. I have loads of stamina and a great zest and enthusiasm for life.
Please, please let them want me.
