Omg look what I found!!!!

ive made these twice since i first found this thread. omg! they are so yummy and satisfying! i add peppadew, mushrooms onion to mine. first time ive served sw food to the mr and he asked "this is sw food?..." i had to giggle =]

made this last night OMG it truly is amazing i pilled mine with peppers mushrooms, onion, spring onions, cheese and garlic, it was like pizza and fhajtis all in one i didnt even need any sauce!!! i had it with a huge salad. Lets say next time its movie night move over nachos its chips and yogurt drops!!

This sounds fab! Sorry if I sound thick but what are yogurt drops? x
 
Wow those look amazing! If you want a free 'sour cream', I found that mixing equal amounts of quark and fromage frais tastes and feels pretty much the same.

Oh and I think yogurt drops are
Made by freezing drops of free yogurt on baking paper and peeling them off :)

I made this last night but minus the bacon and spring onions as I didn't have any and they were absolutely delicious! Felt so so naughty!

Oh, thanks for that, Liz. Must give them a go. Sometimes the simpler the idea, the more successful and tasty they are. Fingers crossed anyway! :)

I was looking for something tasty to go with my steak, garlic mushrooms and home made coleslaw!!!
...completely beats boiled new potatoes!!

Tonight's tea will be guilt free, but will feel like a full on treat!

Half a portion of rump steak (griddled)
Mushrooms with a sprinkle of dried basil and garlic powder (cooked in fry light)
Coleslaw (shredded red cabbage, red onion, grated carrot, tbsp of mayo light, splash of cidar vinegar and sweetener)
... and the Texas chilli fries!!!

Here is my version of the Texas cheese fries!
Served with a pork chop & side salad.........

Pete’s Texas Cheese Fries (2013)

Serves 2

Ingredients
¼ tsp chilli powder
¼ tsp garlic salt
¼ tsp cumin powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp. jalapeno Peppers, finely chopped (s) (sff)
2 Floury potatoes such as Maris Piper (ff)
2 Rashers of smoked bacon, fat removed, cut into small pieces (ff)
2 Spring onions, finely chopped (s) (sff)
2 tbsp of Fat free Fromage Frais (ff)
60g Strong Cheddar cheese, grated (2 Hea/2= 1Hea per person)
Handful of fresh chives, finely chopped
Pepper

Method

Pre-heat the oven to 180C.
In a small bowl, mix together, chilli powder, garlic salt, cumin, paprika & pepper, set aside.
Cut the potatoes, skin left on, into chips, part boil for 5 mins, drain and while hot, spray with frylight & sprinkle with the mixed spices, place on a flat tray, place in the oven, cook for 15 mins, remove & turn over, continue until cooked, then remove & place in a shallow dish.
In a frying pan, cook the bacon until almost crisp, remove & chop into pieces, mix with the spring onions & jalapenos.
Sprinkle the cheese over the chips & add the bacon, spring onions & jalapenos & cook until the cheese has melted.
Make a dip of Fromage Frais mixed with fresh chives.
Serve with a side salad.
