Is anyone else using ortho evra to assist with their PCOS? i am on my first week of them after waiting 5 months to start on them and I have gone through 3 patches already as they dont seem to stay on and they are really making me itch! Any other users with tips on these sticky things or any proven success with these little blighters helping symptoms?

i have a hormone imbalance similar to pcos but not exactly pcos..anyway my gp is reluctant to refer me to anyone...i wish i could have something like implant or depo injection to stop my hormones going up and down all the time. but my gp won't refer me to anyone so far

sorry again

hope they work out for you

hello - no need to apologise - i have battled this ( and my doc) ... seems that nothing works so am trying for a positive attitude ... most of teh time it doesn't work though! Am going to see Gp on thursday to discuss implant

yes i would like to try something like implant. problem is my gp won't refer me back to anyone

sorry anyway

good luck

my gp would not that familiar with my condtions. i don't exactly have pcos but have a similar hormone imbalance. i would be taking the the hormones to deal with hormone imbalance [as hormones levels going up and down all the time unpredictably] not for contraception..my gp rekons I just have to deal with the imbalance..as many women like those who have pcos are in similar situation...ie i don't have an 'illness as such'

years ago i tried several combined hormone treatment but due to side effects i stopped

now i want to try something depo provera or implanon to see if that has less side effects but my gp won't refer me back to specialist

anyway sorry

good luck to you
