Pandas Calorie World!

Bit dead in here :(
Went over on calories yesterday, properly about 200cals as I felt like crap after a long day at work and had really bad stomach pains from my water infection, JUST started more anti biotics.

It's gonna be in another few weeks because frankly I'm just maintaining atm... i'm under 200cals today but most of my food has been bread >.<...
Thank you btw, I've 55 more likes to get before Wednesday. I'm hoping I can do it without too much trouble.

I'm still 5lb down though, I'm going to be a slow person to lose weight. I'm hoping to keep my food thing under control in the next 2 weeks as we get our keys for the house on the 7th, then we're moving that week :D

Today I'm starving.

I was very upset last night because my mouse is in a lot of pain with some skin allergy, I can't see the vets until Saturday as currently my vets have no idea what is wrong with him. I've done the advise said on another forum, changing his food to his old food in case he has an allergy. This morning I woke up with him chomping the bars, this isn't a mouse thing to do and shows he's really in a bad place. If he doesn't go by Saturday when we actually see the specialist, we're going to have to consider putting him to sleep. It's gotten too bad because the vet has no idea what to do... I can't say I'm not angry, they do this too me a lot but I guess she's just trying for us, it's cost us so much money though.

I'm getting to the point where I don't want anymore aimals once my guinea pigs go, unless it's a dog or cat which vets pride themselves on knowing about... guinea pigs, rabbits and rodents are the most kept pet so why are they all so ignorant?

On cals yesterday.

Hello! newbie incoming :D

So sorry to hear about your little mouse, its awful when pets aren't well and its not helped by vets being so expensive and charging the earth to investigate problems, and i know what you mean about vets not knowing about rodent type animals, i have guinea pigs too and have found vets in the past to be useless, one told me one of my guinea pigs had puss in her uterus and said she wouldn't live long if she wasn't operated on, she was 6 years old at that point, i decided against surgery and she lived for another 2 years after that! i knew that i knew better than them lol oh and also one vet also overdosed one of my guinea pigs with an injection, i was fuming! my guinea was fine luckily! unfortunately iv'e never had mice so can't offer any advice, could it be something in the bedding maybe they changed the bedding if its a man-made stuff? (sorry iv'e no idea what mice bed in) or have you bought any new air-freshner/candles etc..

will pop by again soon :)

The forum I'm on thinks it's a food allergy so he's been put back on his old food (non muesli), he's sat in his surspended cardboard tube the entire day today, sleeping. It helps him because it doesn't touch his skin so he can rest. I have him some cheese and that perked him up but he's still got another 4 days to wait until we see this specialist they have called in. Every vet should employ a small animal specialist, as like a rule.

Over calories today, just not feeling it right now. I didn't even work out and I did so well keeping to the plan last week :/ I will TRY harder tomorrow. Promise.

oh no, your poor wee mouse :(
I know what you mean about not wanting any more. I don't think I can have any more piggies after mine go. Vets just don't seem to care at all and it's too painful watching them suffer when they fall ill.

Diet-wise, you just need to take it a day at a time. Like you said, you have lost, it's just taking a while longer than maybe you had hoped but at least you are going in the right direction! I'm in a bit of a rut/plateau right now weight-wise but just focusing on what I have already lost and being satisfied that I don't seem to be gaining any!

I have liked the Tenpin page btw!

1.4lb loss this morning apparently. Down to 15st 11lb. I've logged all my meals today and had fruit instead of crisps for extras.

Right, I need to get my bum into gear, yeah the weights coming off instead of gaining and I'm ok maintaining for a week or two as long as I don't go up, but 3 weeks in and I'm at 5.5lb weight loss, I'd like to lose faster than this tbh, I should be in the half a stone I feel...

It's simply because i'm on diet around 4 days a week and then slip, only by 200-300cals but it amounts to something.

I do have things going on atm, we get the keys to the new house on Tuesday but am I used this as an excuse to 'slack' off? The only reason I should be going over is if I make mistakes or MFP is wrong on things that I can't check on the packaging... I need to get back into exercise. Today isn't going to happen has I've felt sick and dizzy since I work up due to my second bladder infection, i was in agony yesterday with tummy pains from the same thing, the tables need to do their job already!

i'm 15st 11lb atm so from 16st 2.5lb it's still something for me really.

I've decided to swap my dinners with my lunches because I'm usually not busy in the day meaning a light lunch makes me snack later on, if I have a heavy lunch and a light dinner, go to sleep or keep preoccupied until I've got to go to bed, I should hopefully get over this comfort eating thing. However, how do I stem stress eating, emotional eating (especially when I'm sick or upset)?

Yesterday I was under cals until I got into bed without my boyfriend (was playing fifa) and I felt horrible with stomach pains (like period pains) and soothed myself with a waterbottle and.... a large lindt reindeer :/ 500+ cals they are.

Ah your a fifa wifey too, does your fella constantly flick back during the ad breaks of your tv programs to play too? Mine does its so annoying i always end up missing first few mins after the break! Cue my grumpy face! i hate it when i miss corrie and emmerdale! Lol 5.5lb is a great loss only another 1.5 and you at half a stone, look from a positive view your in the stone bracket under what you used to be which is always a great feeling! Don't be too hard on yourself especially if your battling with a bladder infection, focus on getting better x

It's the second one I've had this month, the second one I had tests and she thinks I had a UTI first time and Cystitis this time... I'm suppose to drink as much as possible but physically forcing water into me makes me feel heavey :/ I try my hardest to though and I'm drinking cranberry juice in the morning.

Yeah, our TV is taken up by real football then Fifa inbetween and in the late nights. He's getting better at coming to bed sooner than 3 hours after I've gone though which is good. He won't be able to paly much once we've moved house because it takes time to connect doesn't it, we're cancelling Sky tomorrow and then setting up a new account in his name for our new address. They won't reduce it anymore, so we thought, we'd start again as it's in my name atm.

yeah, it is close to half a stone and at least I have maintained so I'm not going back and forth. I'm feeling really poorly today, dizziness, headaches and feeling sick, I cooked all the food for the rest of the week and heaved a few times whilst doing it, part anxiety, part feeling unwell. :/ I'm going to nap then have a small sandwich for dinner and a bit of ice cream later on with fruit. Thinking grapes as it's not as acidy as pineapple is. x

Making all the meals was easier then I thought but tbh what pushed me is that we are disconnecting my cooker and taking it to someone we're selling it too tonight. The new property we're moving into has a cooker so no need for mine.

I don't know how to describe this week, I haven't really been on calories, although I've been logging. I've been feeling sick, getting pain in my lower back and abs and Wednesday was dizzy and retching. It's surprising if EVERYTHING is linked to the water infection but it's also weird, it's all coming out AS I'm taking the anti biotics? After my course, if it doesn't sort it's self by next week, I will book my appointment at my doctors before we move because it makes my life harder than it already is.

On a plus note, yesterday I had a day shift (12-6pm), in the morning, I have high anxiety, whether I'm busy or not. I had a very large and painful panic attack, I wretched until my stomach pulled... when things like this happen, I reach straight for my phone and ring a taxi. YESTERDAY however, even without my coping aids, I slowly sipped some water so my stomach uncurled, put my light coat on and went out for the bus. A guy I work with was on it so we chatted and it helped me get through the journey, I then chanced going into Wilkinsons to buy my 'coping' aids. Got into work, mild tummy discomfort but no more panic attacks the rest of the day. For this reason, I turned down another job offer with another company.

I know I wanted out of this company but I am well known for my panic attacks, they work around them and I have a safe environment when it happens, as much as I loved my old job at Boots, I would not of done very well because to be alone I'd have to climb stairs and go through hallways and be away from my till for more than 5 minutes.

Today, I will try and go for a walk as it's lovely weather and stick to my calories. I do not need the food to help my mood... I do not need it!

That's a big improvement panic-attack wise. :)

"I do not need food to help my mood" - I love this!! Very true and a good mantra to go by. Hope you have a good day x

Food today - water and a pink lady apple >.<

Just how I felt that day, been better the past few days but not perfect on the cals. I'm hoping to level out soon because we're going to finally move. We have no cooker so can't cook anything else.

Don't think my second uti really went from treatment so I may need to have tests in hospital and that scares me... I also don't want an on going uti for the rest of my life.

:/

Hi Panda! Just thought I'd say hello, as I noticed you're in Stafford - I'm in Newcastle, the one up the road from you, not the Geordie one!

I hope both you and your little mouse are feeling a bit better. I'm a guinea pig owner myself, and there's a guy at our vet's who actually seems quite knowledgeable about them and always spends loads of time with them if there's a problem, which is great. One of my two is diabetic, has cataracts and is losing her fur, but she keeps plodding along and means the world to me, lol.

Anyway, keep up the good work and take care. :) xx

Hiya, I used to live on king st in Newcastle. Moved here in 2009 and today we pick our keys up to move to Rugeley. Edging down the country...

Guineas are my speciality too, I have 2 right now, had up to 7 st one point. We have a vets in lichfield for them and a rodentologist in brum whos free but out in the sticks so hard to get to.

Timmy is now on pain killer he wont take and burn cream from co-op pharamacy no less.

I get sick quite a lot, I wonder if for me its being over weight. I'm still struggling but moving is about to begin so healthy lifestyle will start again next week when we're fully moved in, trying to keep it low though, not go overboard. X

Good luck with the move! You should be able to keep a rough track of your food intake until you are settled, even if you aren't noting down every calorie! x

Hiya! Yes, I know King Street, it's close to where I work and not much further from where I live - small world, isn't it? :)

Aww, I kove my guinea pigs. This is only our second pair, the first two died very soon after we had them, which was very sad, but we've had the two girls for nearly three years now. I always say if I win the lottery I want a guinea pig farm, lol.

I can sympathise with the frequent ill health thing. I suffer from ME, as well as having osteoarthritis in my knees, so I'm a bit of a crock. :D

How is your weight loss going? Sorry, I can't see your stats as I'm doing this. :) xx
