Hi all, just wanted to get some opinions and feedback really!
I want to go on a VLCD and kickstart the weight I've carried around for ages, combined with the additional weight I've put on over the past couple of years. Long story short, but I had cancer, and the treatment made me quite depressed, so I basically sat around and ate for a couple of years and denied the fact that I was depressed. Lets be honest though, I was fat before cancer, which makes it worse. I've been clear of cancer for 3 years now, and realised that all I'm doing is working and eating and not doing much else and I need to kick start my butt into doing something about it.
Bearing in mind that I am an all or nothing eating-type person (as in, being able to have a little bit of something does not work for me, I need to eliminate it completely) I want to start a VLCD through Slim n Save or the equivalent (again... I did SnS for a bit last year, then I gave up) :-( But I am really tired of being fat and unhealthy and I am so ready to do something about it.
Problem is, my partner is against it. He doesn't think its healthy to eliminate actual food. My argument is that its a) not healthy to carry around all this extra weight and b) considering the cr*p I eat now, a VLCD will be more nutritious. Which is ironic, seeing as he is 6'3", about 12 stone socking wet and can eat whatever he likes, which is mostly cr*p as well!
Just wondering if anyone else had/has an objecting partner and what you did about it?
