It reminded me of my old Golden Retriever, Daisy.

We had taught her never to touch food until she got the signal from us.

One day, we put out her meal for the day. We usually left it for a moment, then told her to eat.

We forgot to give the signal and went out for the day:eek: Came back early evening and she was sitting there, head about 6 inches from the bowl and slobbering like mad. She hadn't touched a thing. Very tough for a retriever.

    I felt so awful.
