Pesto??

Hi all, I really cant get on with the search function on this website

What I am looking for is a nice pesto recipe, I know its basically basil, pine nuts, olive oil n parmesan but Id like to know a SW low syn version if anyone has one please

But to be honest it's probably just as easy to use a shop bought one. The Asda RF green pesto is lowest in syns but red pesto is only 2.5 syns for a tbsp

Tbh, I don't think there is a low syn version as its the oil that gives pesto its syns and there is nothing you can replace the oil with to make it lower synned.

Thanks all, I shalll try making it with quark and a syn or two of olive oil! Shall let you know how I get on!

Hi guys sorry this is late but I found a syn free pesto in the last magazine

1 garlic clove crushed, 40g fresh bazil leaves, juice of one lemon blended together with 'a' choice of grated parmazan salt and pepper to your taste and fat free fromage frais 80g

Not tried it yet but going to try tonight
