prisec training?

Please could any cdc (or otherwise) give me any more information on training to become a prisec counsellor. I will get in touch with HQ on Monday but in the meantime if anyone can shed any light on the subject i will be very greatful. ie, how long it takes to train? do you need to contact drs and hospitals yourself initally or do cd give you this info? when are the next training days booked for?

Any info greatfully appreciated

what is the difference between a Counsellor and a Pri-Sec counsellor?

Hi Hermione,

I enquired to head office about going on to train as a PriSec Counsellor just this week. I received an email back saying that the PriSec course is currently being re-evaluated, and an email will be sent round to all CDC's in April with the new course details... I think it's just a case of 'watch this space' and wait for Head Office to get in touch.

To be a prisec counsellor under the old rules you had to be BMI 25 or under and you needed to have been a counsellor for a minimum of 6 months.

This may of course change.
