protein shake things

hiya guys just wondering about these sorts of things. i goto bootcamp 3 times a week intense excersize. lots of the girls drink these. something to do with muscles. obviously ive never thought about using them just wondered if someone slimming should use or avoid. i tent to just to my class drink lots of water and pray for more weight to fall off lol :D

Completely depends on what is in it.
You can get protein powder which has a LOT of calories in it, which men use when the are bulking to help their intake of calories and repair the muscles they've just torn lifting.

Then you can get shakes like Maxitone Sculptress which has thermobol in it, designed to help weight loss by increasing your metabolism (but essentially has a lot of caffeine in it to do so). This still has 180kcals per serving (mixed with water!).

Generally, unless you are training very hard and need to recover quickly, they are unnecessary for women.
