Have been going for a week and 2 days to group. Had stuck 100% and lost 5 1/2 pounds. But I kept having these horrendous headaches, that ended this week with me having 3 severe migraines in a week. I've had 3 migraines my entire life prior to this! Finally worked out the only new thing I was eating that could be a trigger was sweetener/diet squash. I've never really had those before, since I've got a 'thing' about artificial food; I find it creepy lol. Cut it out and poof! No more constant headaches and migraines! But they had left me feeling whacked out, fragile etc. And I worked yesterday, only had a 10 minute break all day. A 12 hour shift turned into 13 1/2 due to our governments awesome nhs cuts making working impossible. So I got home 2230 feeling exhausted, cranky and extremely sorry for myself lol. Was gonna blow it with takeaway of chips, gravy, frijj milkshake and bar of galaxy. Somehow, the angel on my shoulder won against the demon and I ended up telling myself not to be a lazy baby and made slimming world chips and ASDA meat free burger instead. And it did cheer me up too! So hopefully losses will be good. I'm a bit worried as I barely ate on the migraine days due to vomiting and I'm one of those people who needs to eat enough to lose weight.

well done.. i too suffer with migrines and dont eat on them days.. but like ur self have triggers that set them off so as long as i try my hardest to not have a trigger then they stay at bay.. but unfortunately one of my triggers is the sun... :( and darkness too.. so its sunglasses for me all the time in the sun..

When i first started SW, because i had cut the crap out my life almost instantly i was spotty and run down lethargic but i over come it.. so im sure u can find an alternative to the sweetner or just use it as part of your syn allowance as i know sugar is not really that high, it only when u have loads through the day, :) xx

Thanx guys. To be honest, loads of people in my group have this thing where they don't use any syns (I think it's a psychological thing that they don't like the sound of it), but they'll eat 4 diet yogurts a day. So I reckon I'd have less calories having one fat free yogurt without sweeteners, about 1 1/2 syns, than those eating tonnes just because they're free. And I love water with a slice of lemon in, so I reckon that'll do me!

Poor you! I can't bear the sun whilst I have a migraine, but to have it caused by the sun would be horrible! Being out in the sun is so cheery!

Ya know how other people's chips always taste better? Well, I think the slimming world chips tasted better than chip shop because it was soooooo satisfying knowing I hadn't given in
