I live in a rural area, and cannot get Quark here at all - I can order a case of it, but that would be a complete waste of time & money.

Are there any alternatives to it?

I've also looked to see if I can buy it online, but no such luck...

Tesco sell it, I wonder if you do an online shop, ring customer service and tell them that the product is in store and could they manually add it to you order,worth a try

I am able to get it from Asda as well as Tesco if I order my weekly shop online. Also I would say it saves you lots of money to do it that way and get other bits and bobs at your local. Hope this helps.

VLF fromage frais is the same, isn't it? I've just started using one (it's French, so sorry can't help with brand) but I checked out ingredients and labelling info. Discovered my old Quark had 6g of fat in 100g while this one has 0.1g . Everything else is exactly the same and it hasn't altered my weight loss (as in, I've kept losing).

The Spanish versions are labelled as "queso fresco" or "queso blanco" - fresh cheese or white cheese. Perhaps looking for something like that will help?
